Clarkson’s Farm star begins new on-screen career after exit from show

Harriet Cowan, one of the freshest faces to appear in the most recent season of Clarkson’s Farm, is officially striking out on her own. The 24-year-old farmhand, originally from Derbyshire, confirmed that she will be launching her very own YouTube channel titled Harriet on the Farm—marking a new chapter in her life and career following her brief but memorable stint on the Prime Video series.

Cowan joined the Clarkson’s Farm cast earlier this year when the latest season was released between May and June. Stepping in during Kaleb Cooper’s absence while he was away on tour, Harriet quickly made her mark alongside Jeremy Clarkson on Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington, Oxfordshire. Though her time on screen was relatively short, she left a strong impression on fans, not only for her farming skills but also for her cheerful, down-to-earth presence.

In recent weeks, Cowan has revealed a significant life decision: she has officially left her job as a nurse in order to pursue a full-time career in farming and online content creation. Announcing her departure, she admitted that her heart had always been in agriculture, but she previously lacked the means to commit herself fully to the lifestyle.

“The cat’s somewhat out of the bag,” she told followers online. “It’s true, I am no longer nursing because it appears I got the bug. You definitely know what the bug is, right? Yeah—I got the farming bug. And I’ve always had it, but before, I didn’t really have any other income.”

Despite leaving nursing as a daily career, Harriet reassured fans that she hasn’t entirely cut ties with her previous profession. “I’m going to do bank shifts and I’m still going to be working in the NHS, just not on a daily basis,” she explained.

Now back on her family farm in Derbyshire, Cowan has set her sights on blending her twin passions: working the land and connecting with audiences through digital storytelling. Her first step in this new direction is Harriet on the Farm, a YouTube channel that will give fans a glimpse into her farming journey, her day-to-day life on the farm, and her experiences transitioning from nursing to agriculture.

The channel officially goes live today, Sunday, August 31, with Harriet confirming on Instagram that the first video—a Q&A session—will premiere at 6 p.m. She teased the launch with a short video clip on her Instagram story, promising viewers both honesty and fun as she begins to document her new lifestyle.

For Harriet, this move is more than just a career change; it’s the beginning of a long-term dream. “The wait’s over,” she told fans with excitement. “Harriet on the Farm is coming your way on August 31.”

From appearing on one of Britain’s most talked-about farming shows to returning home to forge her own path, Harriet Cowan’s story is just beginning—and her growing fan base is eager to follow along.
