Is Mark Ramsey Leaving Moonshiners? Here’s What We Know

Despite the illicit activities featured in Moonshiners, the Discovery Channel has built a reality series around the alleged “criminals” who craft their own moonshine. One such distiller is Mark Ramsey, who works alongside his longtime friend Digger Manes at their co-owned Sugarlands Distilling Co. However, fans are now speculating whether Mark could be stepping away from the show.

Mark Ramsey Might Be Exiting After Season 14

As of now, Mark remains a key figure on Moonshiners, but rumors about him leaving the series have been swirling for a while. According to recent updates, Mark’s episodes are currently listed through Season 14, fueling speculation that this could be his final season.

In Season 14, Episode 12, “Above the Law,” Mark discusses taking a step back from his partnership with Digger, as they prepare to bring Beaz into the fold. Last season, Mark and Digger faced several legal challenges, with Mark admitting to Pop Culture in 2021 that police raids had “taken the damn wind out of [his] sails… We’re about too old to do anything else, and Digger’s too pretty to go to jail,” he joked.

Ahead of Season 14, Discovery teased that “the Tennessee shiners face a determined law enforcement officer hellbent on halting their operation, while battling sky-high prices for raw materials such as corn.” It seems Mark may be ready to hand over the reins to Beaz and scale back his role on the show, though nothing has been officially confirmed.

Mark Ramsey’s Net Worth

Mark Ramsey and his wife, Sally Jane Clark, co-own Sugarlands Distilling Co. alongside Digger. While Sally doesn’t appear on Moonshiners, she plays a major role in the business behind the scenes. Mark and Digger manage the day-to-day operations, while other series regulars—including Mark Rogers, Steven Tickle, and Jim Tom Hedrick—support the distilling process on camera.

Combined, Mark and Digger’s net worth is estimated at around $300,000. As pioneers of modern-day distilling, Mark is likely to remain financially secure, whether he continues on Moonshiners or not.

For now, fans will have to watch Season 14 closely to see if Mark Ramsey truly takes a step back from the series he helped make famous.

New episodes of Moonshiners air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on the Discovery Channel.
