Clarkson’s Farm Cast Spotted Riding Vibrant Pink Tractor Through Town

Stars of hit Amazon Prime show Clarkson’s Farm have been spotted driving a bright pink tractor in a town’s parade.

Beloved stars of the show which documents former Top Gear presenter’s trials and joys on Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington, Alan Townsend and Gerald Cooper are now recognisable locals in Oxfordshire.

The pair featured on its third and fourth seasons, helping Mr Clarkson get The Farmer’s Dog pub in Burford ready to welcome customers.

But they are using their new found fame for good, as Mr Townsend and Mr Cooper were spotted getting involved in a charity event at the weekend, riding a pink tractor in Witney.

It was part of Witney in Pink Day, an annual event which raises money for Oxfordshire charity Against Breast Cancer, by decorating the town and hosting events and parades, all themed on the colour pink.

One of the vehicles in the popular parade this year was the Pink Fordson, which is toured around the UK by Anna Griffiths to raise money for Dementia UK.

This time, however, the Northamptonshire fundraiser set to fundraising for the breast cancer research charity, another cause close to her heart, with help from the Clarkson’s Farm stars.

Ms Griffiths said: “I painted my tractor pink for a restoration project, then thought that while I was at shows I may as well fundraise.

“I chose dementia UK as I lost both of my grandparents to the disease, and I’ve now raised more than £14,000 for the charity.

“But I couldn’t not be a part of this event as Against Breast Cancer is also a charity so close to my heart, from losing a dear family friend and one of my best friends to it at a young age.”

The fundraiser added she couldn’t do it without the people, businesses and brands who support her and share her story, including the Clarkson’s Farm stars.

Ms Griffiths added: “Alan and Gerald have helped me no end with my fundraising efforts, since I met them at Martson Steam show two years ago, where they were celebrity guests.

“We got talking there and they’ve been amazing helping since.

“They walk around the arena with collection buckets and have helped that way, and they both spent all day on Saturday at the show with me collecting money for the charity and we raised more than £500.”

The celebrities also spent time with Jeanne Chattoe, trustee of Against Breast Cancer and chair of the Witney Action Team, who founded the Witney in Pink Day 25 years ago.

Following the event, Ms Chattoe said: “Thank you to everyone who made Witney in Pink so special.

“From the fundraising team, collectors and cake makers to the businesses and hospitality venues who joined in, and the entertainers and volunteers who gave their time — Witney was just wonderful.”
