Jeremy Clarkson drops major news on Clarkson’s Farm season 5
The Grand Tour host posted the news on social media
Jeremy Clarkson’s has shared a big update about season five of Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime Video, after he previously made a heartbreaking announcement and fans spotting a problem with the last outing.
Taking to his Instagram account, the broadcaster and farmer posted a photo of himself next to his girlfriend Lisa Hogan and the rest of the Diddly Squat Farm crew, including Kaleb Cooper, Charlie Ireland and Gerald Cooper.
He captioned the snap: “Season 5. It’s a wrap,” confirming filming had finished on the latest outing of the hit series.
The group was sitting around a campfire in a field and smiling, although Jeremy, 65, looked exhausted.
Many Clarkson’s Farm fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts about the announcement.
One person posted: “I reckon they should continue until they have a perfect farming year – no covid, no drought, no floods, no bovine TB, no crop failures, no interference from West Oxfordshire District Council, etc. Surely it’s gotta happen one year…..hasn’t it?”
A second wrote: “This is the only show I want to see 20 seasons of.”
A third cheekily commented: “Please just film all year round, have a spring/summer series, winter/spring series, yes I know your entitled to a private life but frankly I don’t care could watch Lisa all day love that woman! [sic].”
Someone else wrote: “I hope you never stop filming Clarksons Farm Jeremy, even when you’re eighty-hundred and a million ten, it’ll still be b****y brilliant. Hope to come and visit soon. Best wishes to you all [sic].”
Yet another noted: “Seriously amazing news guys! I know you must all work incredibly hard for this show, in all weathers but just know it is truly appreciated.
“I must have watched seasons 1-4 3 times over and read all the books twice so far.
“It’s a combination of humour, education around farming and the beautiful cinematic shots of our glorious countryside that does it for me.”
The season five wrap comes after Jeremy previously said the cast and crew would be taking a well-deserved rest after shooting five consecutive seasons.
He previously told The Times: “I’d do a sixth if there was a reason for doing it, like a b****y good story…
“Whatever happens we’ll definitely take a short break as the crews are all worn out.
“We’ve been filming here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everybody could do with a rest.”
So, it looks like season five could be the last for a little while at least.
Season four of Clarkson’s Farm came out earlier this year and was another huge hit with audiences globally and became the most-watched series of the programme to date, as per Deadline.
Each episode of season four boasted an average viewership of 4.4million, based on seven-day viewing numbers from Barb and overnights.tv.
Clarkson’s Farm is also one of the most popular shows on streaming platform Amazon Prime Video.
