Gold Rush

Can Parker repeat last season’s success? | Parker’s Ultimate Gold Weighs from Last Season

Parker Schnabel and his crew have pulled off a record-breaking season, surpassing expectations and proving that his bold $15 million gamble on Dominion Creek was a golden investment. After months of hard work, Schnabel’s team has ended the season with an astonishing total of 7,381 ounces of gold, worth nearly $15 million.

A Nervous Start, A Rewarding Finish

At the beginning of the season, Schnabel admitted he was scared about the massive purchase of Dominion Creek. However, the rich ground exceeded expectations, allowing his crew to push their original 5,000-ounce goal even higher. By the final weigh-in, the team had far surpassed their target, securing their place among the most successful mining operations in the Klondike.

“It’s been an emotional season,” Schnabel said. “We faced some pretty big decisions, but this purchase was worth it. The ground’s been a lot better than expected.”

Record-Breaking Gold Hauls

Schnabel’s operations at Australia Creek and Dominion Creek yielded unprecedented results. Running multiple wash plants, including Big Red, Sluicifer, and the newly introduced Roxan, the team had multiple weeks where they pulled in over 700 ounces of gold. One of the most impressive hauls came from the Money Pit, with a weekly total exceeding 554 ounces – the highest from a single wash plant this season.

“It’s been an amazing run,” crew member Mitch Blaschke remarked. “A lot of our operators, like Tatiana, Evan, and Jacob, came here with little to no experience, and look at what they’re doing now.”

Crunching the Numbers

Throughout the season, Parker’s crew saw consistent growth in gold production:

  • Australia Creek: Over 1,000 ounces mined.
  • Money Pit & Roxan: Produced a staggering 382 ounces in one week.
  • Final Week Total: 554.35 ounces, worth over $1.1 million.
  • Season Total: 7,381 ounces, valued at nearly $15 million.

“This just might work,” Schnabel said as the final numbers came in, his confidence growing with every gold weigh-in.

The Future of Dominion Creek

With such a successful first season at Dominion, Schnabel is already looking ahead. Though uncertain about specific plans for Australia Creek, he remains confident that the land still holds incredible potential.

“I’m not going to make that decision right now,” Schnabel said when asked about returning to the site next year. “There’s a lot of work that needs to be put in up there.”

Despite the uncertainty, one thing is clear: Dominion Creek has become Schnabel’s new gold mine headquarters, securing his future in the mining industry.

A Toast to Success

As the crew celebrated their achievements with a toast, Schnabel took a moment to recognize those who helped along the way. “This is for those that help you get started, those that help you along the way, but aren’t here to share,” he said as the team raised their glasses.

Looking ahead, Schnabel extended an open invitation for his team to return next season, acknowledging the hard work and dedication that made this record-breaking year possible.

“To every one of you guys, you have a spot here next year,” he said. “This season sets us up so well for the next few years.”

With Dominion Creek proving to be a gold-rich investment, Parker Schnabel’s future in the Yukon looks brighter than ever.
