Jeremy Clarkson’s ‘alarming’ update as Clarkson’s Farm filming stopped

Jeremy Clarkson has shared an “alarming” update with fans after confirming that filming for the next season of Clarkson’s Farm has come to a halt in Oxfordshire.

The 65-year-old TV presenter, who bought Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington back in 2008 when it was still known as Curdle Hill Farm, revealed on social media that production on the hit Prime Video show has paused — though life on the land certainly hasn’t.

Diddly Squat has become a landmark in its own right since Clarkson’s Farm premiered in 2021. Across four critically acclaimed series, the show has chronicled Clarkson’s sometimes chaotic, always entertaining journey from motoring journalist to full-time farmer. Fans have followed his struggles with weather, livestock, regulations, and local council disputes, all filmed against the stunning Oxfordshire countryside.

The farm, along with its now-famous Diddly Squat Farm Shop and the nearby pub The Farmer’s Dog in Asthall, continues to draw huge crowds of visitors every weekend. Tourists travel from across the country hoping to catch a glimpse of Clarkson, his partner Lisa Hogan, or farmhand Kaleb Cooper, and to sample local produce and Hawkstone beer.

But Clarkson’s latest post on X (formerly Twitter) has once again made headlines — and raised eyebrows. “Filming at Diddly Squat has stopped for a little while, but the farming goes on,” he wrote. “Today, I have rented out a pig for sexual purposes.”

The tongue-in-cheek remark, described as “alarming” by several national newspapers, is classic Clarkson — equal parts blunt humour and rural realism. Fans flooded the comments with laughter and disbelief, with many noting that his knack for shock value remains as strong as ever.

While production cameras have temporarily stopped rolling, the agricultural work clearly continues in full swing. Clarkson previously confirmed that Clarkson’s Farm would be taking a break after the forthcoming fifth season, which wrapped filming last month.

As for when audiences will see the new episodes, an exact release date has not yet been announced. However, if Prime Video sticks to its usual schedule, Clarkson’s Farm Series 5 is expected to premiere sometime next year.

Earlier this year, Series 4 delighted fans when it debuted in May, running through June with eight new episodes filled with typical Diddly Squat drama — from pub ventures and crop disasters to the latest antics with Kaleb and Lisa.

So while cameras might be off for now, one thing remains certain: life at Diddly Squat Farm — and Jeremy Clarkson’s unfiltered updates — never fail to keep fans entertained.
