Jeremy Clarkson claps back at author after personal dig
Jeremy Clarkson, the outspoken motoring legend and star of Top Gear, The Grand Tour, and Clarkson’s Farm, has once again shown his quick wit in the face of a cheeky online remark. Known as much for his blunt humor as his encyclopedic car knowledge, Clarkson recently had a lighthearted exchange with author David Kavanagh that delighted fans.
The 65-year-old presenter, whose globe-trotting adventures have taken him from the deserts of Morocco to the icy roads of Scandinavia, posted a brief update on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, November 1, giving followers a glimpse of the small but frustrating struggles of air travel.
“Mounjaro problem I never saw coming,” Clarkson began, referencing the minor irritations of airport security. “At airports, you’re made to remove your belt and then told to stand in the body scanner with your arms in the air. So you can’t hold your trousers up.”
It was this post that prompted David Kavanagh to joke: “Yet another holiday,” taking a playful jab at Clarkson’s extensive travel schedule.
Clarkson, never one to shy away from a clever retort, responded with his trademark dry humor: “Yup. I had one last year.” The brief back-and-forth highlighted not only Clarkson’s ability to poke fun at himself but also his skill at deflecting jabs with charm and wit.
Fans of Clarkson know that his life is far from a series of leisurely vacations. Between filming episodes of his hit motoring shows and managing his 1,000-acre Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire for Clarkson’s Farm, Clarkson’s schedule is packed with demanding commitments.
In fact, Clarkson recently revealed that filming for the latest season of Clarkson’s Farm has wrapped, with the series now in post-production. While the official release date has yet to be confirmed, past seasons suggest fans can likely expect new episodes to premiere in the spring of next year.
As always, Clarkson’s sharp humor and candid updates on life both on and off the farm continue to keep his fans entertained, proving once again that whether he’s behind the wheel of a supercar or stuck in a body scanner, he always has a punchy remark ready.
