Fans Call on Jeremy Clarkson to Take the Next Big Step After Heartwarming Anniversary Moment
Fans of Clarkson’s Farm have called on Jeremy Clarkson to finally marry his long-term partner Lisa Hogan, after the pair celebrated another milestone in their relationship. The couple, who have become one of the most recognisable duos on British television through the hit Prime Video series, marked their latest anniversary with a light-hearted exchange on social media that quickly ignited a wave of supportive – and persuasive – comments.
Clarkson, 65, shared an Instagram post on Monday (December 8) revealing that he and Hogan had been together for exactly nine years. The former Top Gear and Grand Tour presenter has been in a relationship with the Irish former actress since 2017, and the pair now live and work together at Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington, West Oxfordshire. Hogan plays a central role both on-screen and off, managing the Diddly Squat Farm Shop and frequently appearing alongside Clarkson as he navigates the steep learning curve of farming life across 1,000 acres near Chipping Norton.
In her own characteristically humorous style, Hogan marked the moment with a playful caption claiming the couple were celebrating “900 years”, a joke that resonated well with fans who have followed their relationship through the highs, lows, and often chaotic challenges documented on Clarkson’s Farm.
The pair’s anniversary announcement prompted a flood of warm messages, with viewers and followers posting congratulations while also reigniting a topic that has circulated around the couple for years: marriage. Multiple fans used Clarkson’s post as an opportunity to encourage the presenter to take the next step.
One admirer commented, “Put a ring on it. Women like this don’t come along often!”, while another echoed the sentiment, writing, “Time to put a ring on the lovely Lisa!” Many others offered similar nudges, suggesting that the time was right for Clarkson to formally propose.
Marriage is not an entirely new subject for the couple. Hogan previously revealed that she herself had attempted to propose to Clarkson – though the moment, she admits, did not go quite as planned. According to an interview she gave to The Times, the attempted proposal occurred on 29 February of the previous year, the date traditionally associated with women being encouraged to propose during leap years.
However, Hogan joked that her gesture may have gone completely unnoticed because Clarkson was not wearing his hearing aids at the time. “Jeremy doesn’t think I proposed,” she told the newspaper. “But he wasn’t wearing his hearing aids, so no one will know.”
Despite the humorous missed opportunity, the couple appear content and deeply settled into their life together in the Cotswolds. Their partnership – blending Hogan’s practical management of the farm shop with Clarkson’s often unpredictable approach to agriculture – remains one of the show’s greatest strengths and a key reason viewers remain invested not just in the farm, but in their relationship.
Whether the renewed chorus of fan encouragement will finally prompt a proposal remains to be seen. But if the online reaction is anything to go by, Clarkson’s Farm followers are more than ready for the next chapter.
