Jeremy Clarkson details staggering weight loss as he says ‘I’m energised’
Jeremy Clarkson says he now walks further, sleeps better and feels energised after losing three stone since January using weight-loss injections
Jeremy Clarkson has opened up on his recent weight loss journey as he revealed that he’s shed three stone since January, crediting his achievement to injections that have boosted his energy levels.
The TV host has admitted that he now walks more, sleeps better and feels “energised” following the treatment and the fitting of stents. In a recent interview promoting his new quiz show Millionaire Hot Seat, Jeremy told ITV that he still enjoys a curry but avoids snacking, which he confesses used to “fill you up” without realising it.
When asked about his weight loss, he simply responded: “Three stone since January.” Jeremy stated that he feels noticeably healthier and more active as a result of the change. “Yes I walk further, I have got more energy and now I’ve got my stents in, I’m energised,” he said.
The 65 year old presenter has no plans to slow down, stating that without work, he would “rot”. The Grand Tour star made the comments as ITV confirmed he will front Millionaire Hot Seat, a fast-paced spin-off of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? launching in January 2026.
The show is described as a “tactical twist” on the traditional format, featuring six contestants vying for the top spot in a rotating chair line-up.
Only the contestant in the “hot seat” can answer questions, but they have the option to pass, which sends them to the back of the line. A wrong answer results in elimination and decreases the potential prize jackpot.
“It’s a very expensive game of musical chairs,” Jeremy said. “You can be the most brilliant player and go home with nothing or you can be useless, and go home with the prize.”
He explained that the programme showcases unexpected behaviour, as contestants choose whether to assist one another or undermine competitors for their own advantage. “I love watching how human nature works and if they land their fellow contestants in the soup or not!”.
The presenter said the series has already delivered emotional moments. He disclosed that one triumphant contestant won £100,000 whilst others who assisted her left empty-handed, yet still rejoiced in her success.
“They both were entitled to feel aggrieved, but they didn’t,” he said. The Millionaire brand continues to be a massive ratings winner, drawing over 18 million viewers on ITV this year alone.
This isn’t the first time Jeremy has spoken about his weight-loss efforts and the effects on his life. Following emergency heart surgery in late 2024, he was spurred on to make substantial lifestyle modifications for his wellbeing.
His first go at shedding pounds using Ozempic didn’t work out, triggering severe sickness and actually causing him to put on weight, leaving him feeling like a “bulimic Henry VIII”. He achieved results by moving to Mounjaro, an “extraordinary game changer” that enabled him to drop approximately two stone by suppressing his hunger.
This approach was combined with dietary adjustments, cutting out processed foods such as bacon and chocolate, and taking up low-impact Reformer Pilates.
