Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop has provided a warm and exciting update for its loyal customers, with news that it will be closing for just one day over the New Year period. The former Top Gear presenter and star of Clarkson’s Farm took to the shop’s official Instagram to share the news, using an adorable video featuring his dogs in the back of a pickup truck to engage with his followers. The post also highlighted the shop’s adjusted opening hours during the festive season.

The update confirmed that Diddly Squat Farm Shop will remain open on December 30 and 31, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, with the exception of New Year’s Day, when the shop will be closed for the day. The farm shop will also be open on January 2, continuing the same 9:30 am to 4:30 pm hours. Despite being traditionally closed for several months during the winter, this year, Clarkson and his team have decided to keep the shop open throughout January and February due to an overwhelming demand from customers. This decision is a reflection of the farm shop’s success and popularity since it first opened its doors in 2020.

Many fans of the 65-year-old TV personality have been thrilled by the announcement, with comments flooding in on the Instagram post. One fan expressed their excitement, saying: “That is great news, because I really wanna come and visit again, but I won’t have the chance in December unfortunately.” Another commenter shared their enthusiasm for a February visit, stating: “That’s great news, as I want to bring my daughter for her birthday in February.” A third fan simply said: “That is really good news.”

The Diddly Squat Farm Shop, which was opened by Clarkson and his partner, Lisa Hogan, quickly became a beloved spot for both fans of the show and visitors to the Cotswolds. The location features heavily in Clarkson’s Farm, where Clarkson, a self-taught farmer, struggles and succeeds in running the farm with the help of a dedicated team. The farm shop offers local produce and a selection of goods that have gained a loyal following. Clarkson’s latest business venture, The Windmill pub in Asthall, also recently gained attention after it underwent renovations and rebranded as The Farmer’s Dog in August 2024. This new venture has quickly become one of the most talked-about pubs in the region, further cementing Clarkson’s role as a prominent figure in the Cotswolds business scene.

For many of Clarkson’s fans, the update comes as a welcome piece of good news, offering the chance to visit Diddly Squat in the new year. The decision to extend the shop’s winter hours is just another example of how Clarkson has cultivated a loyal fanbase, eager to see his various ventures grow. Whether it’s his farming challenges on Clarkson’s Farm or his latest pub project, Clarkson continues to win over fans with his unique blend of humor, humility, and determination.
