Jeremy Clarkson’s heartbreaking Diddly Squat farm confession after facing tragic news

Jeremy Clarkson’s time on Clarkson’s Farm sparked his near-death experience.

Jeremy Clarkson revisited the health issues that he suffered in 2025, as he was told by doctors he was days away from dying after he suffered from a blocked artery. In his column for The Sun, which marked 30 years of the Clarkson’s Farm star writing for the paper, his June 7th 2025 piece was revisited, as he penned: “As you probably heard, I had a bit of a problem with my heart last autumn.

“And if you want to know what caused it, have a look at the last two episodes of Clarkson’s Farm, which are out now. There’s no doubt in my mind that the unbelievable stress of opening a pub while trying to do the harvest caused the issue. Well, that and 40 years of living a life that in no way mirrored Gwyneth Paltrow’s.”

He added: “When I die, my farm will be confiscated by the Government so they can smother it with solar panels and sustainable houses for hard-working families in the immigrant community.

Until then, however, it’s mine, which is why I spent a chunk of the week clearing a stream, removing undergrowth and various trees that have fallen over so my grandkids are able to spend their afternoons in it, sploshing about, playing Pooh sticks and building dams.”

At the time, Clarkson had called doctors after experiencing pins and needles in his left arm, and he was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.

He said: “It seems that of the arteries feeding my heart with nourishing blood, one was completely blocked and the second of three was heading that way.” He recalled a doctor telling him he was “days” away from death. He then had an angioplasty to fix the problem, where a wire is inserted through the wrist to explore potentially damaged arteries.

In the same column, a 2003 Clarkson column was revisited, where he hit out at Ant and Dec after watching the first series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

He penned: “May 3, 2003: I tuned into the first edition of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! on Monday and thought it was … utter rubbish. Two small men called Ant and Lard spent most of the show reading out telephone numbers.”
