Gold Rush

Parker Schnabel’s Big Win: $15 Million Gold Haul

Parker Schnabel and his team took a huge gamble this season by purchasing Dominion Creek for $15 million. The risk paid off as they pulled out a record-breaking 7,381 ounces of gold worth nearly $15 million, nearly covering the cost of the entire claim.

The season was filled with challenges: breakdowns, weather issues, and the pressure of meeting goals. Parker’s original target was 5,000 ounces, but as the gold kept piling up, the crew pushed to hit 7,000 ounces, which they surpassed. With the help of new equipment, including the Roxan wash plant, Parker’s team mined more gold than ever before.

Despite the grueling work and long hours, the crew is well compensated. Miners earn a base salary of $14,000 for six months of work, but performance bonuses and TV earnings boost their pay significantly. The physically demanding and mentally taxing nature of the job makes the pay well-earned, but it’s not for everyone.

This season proved that Parker’s risky decision was the right one, securing his future in the gold mining industry and solidifying his crew’s success.
