Festival crowd reacts as Richard Hammond and Clarkson’s Farm’s Harriet show up together

Top Gear star Richard Hammond will present a special birthday surprise at a festival.

Richard will help celebrate the 40th anniversary of a much-loved Land Rover at a new one-day festival in the grounds of Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire.

The event, Blue Tit’s Birthday Party Festival, takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, and will mark the anniversary of Tati Reed’s 1985 Land Rover 90, affectionately named Blue Tit.

Ms Reed, the content creator behind the popular Instagram account @overintherover, said: “I can’t wait to celebrate my little Land Rover reaching the grand old age of 40.

“Blue Tit and I have experienced so much together; from breaking down all over Europe, to camping on her roof for two and a half months, to exploring the whole of the UK, we have built our stories hand in hand.

“I want to create something real, get people outdoors and put a smile on their faces.

“This is for the community of Land Rover fans, but also for anyone who loves the outdoors, appreciates great cars and enjoys a fun family day out.”

Richard Hammond will present Blue Tit with an official black-and-silver registration plate to mark its new status as a historic vehicle.

His daughter, Izzy Hammond, will also appear on stage during the event, celebrating family, adventure, and a shared love of Land Rovers.

The festival will feature a Land Rover parade, live music, celebrity talks, off-roading experiences, a dog show, and a classic car ceremony.

Eastnor Castle’s Deer Park is closely linked to Land Rover’s heritage, having served as a key off-road testing site since the 1960s.

Land Rover will offer festival-goers rides at their Land Rover Experience Centre.

Other confirmed speakers and guests include Clarkson’s Farm’s Harriet Cowan, adventurer Alex Bescoby, The Turner Twins, and The London Vegetable Orchestra.

The live music lineup features ceilidh band Fitty Gomash, The Florence Sommerville Duo, The 45’s, and headline act NOASIS.

Camping options will be available on-site for those who want to spend the night.

Tickets are on sale now at overintherover.com. Gates open at 11am on the day.
