Kelvin Fletcher’s Farm Cottage Sells Out Fast as Fans Rush to Book Final Dates
The holiday cottage is in huge demand, with just a few dates left available for booking
The final episode of Kelvin and Liz Fletcher’s ITV series has just aired, but there’s still good news for fans. Viewers of the former Emmerdale star’s show, Fletcher’s Family Farm, may already know about the holiday cottage he renovated with his wife.
What many might not realise, though, is the cottage is available to rent for your own getaway. If you’re interested, you’ll need to move fast – only limited dates remain available for the rest of the year, as initially reported by the MEN.
Surrounded by open Peak District countryside and set within private farmland, the cottage offers a peaceful rural escape with plenty of space to unwind. A fully enclosed garden makes it particularly well suited to families with young children, while outside there’s also a lawn, patio, decking area and a hot tub for relaxing evenings.
Inside, the property has a warm farmhouse feel, with exposed wooden beams and a spacious kitchen at its heart. The kitchen is well equipped with an AGA range cooker, oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, creating a comfortable “home from home” experience. A separate dining room provides a cosy setting for meals, with large windows framing views of the surrounding countryside.
There are three king-size bedrooms, one with its own en-suite, along with several inviting communal spaces. These include a sitting room and a snug, both complete with wood burning stoves, plus a conservatory for soaking up the views.
Despite its secluded feel, the cottage is close to a range of local attractions and amenities. The nearby village of Sutton offers a general store for essentials as well as Sutton Hall, a historic pub ideal for a relaxed lunch. The surrounding area also features numerous walking routes and cycling trails for outdoor enthusiasts.
For those willing to venture further afield, the Peak District National Park lies to the east, offering attractions such as Bamford Mill, Peveril Castle and Speedwell Cavern. Alternatively, visitors seeking something different can explore Farmer’s Rest in Sutton, Cambridgeshire.
At the time of writing, the ECHO found 2027 had more availability with a two-night stay available for £1,158 at the end of February. Alternatively, at the start of April, there were two nights going for £1380, and to stay at the end of May, it would set you back £2500. If you are looking before then, there are a host of others available on Skyes Holiday Cottages, still in the Peak District. You can see them here.
During an episode of Fletcher’s Family Farm, Kelvin’s wife and co-owner of the cottage, Liz Fletcher, said: “Since we put the cottage up for rent as a holiday let, it has just gone crazy. We put it online for about two days, and the year literally sold out….It’s just gone above and beyond our expectations.”
The Fletchers live on a 120-acre farm in the picturesque village of Wincle, near Macclesfield in Cheshire. It is on the edge of the Peak District National Park.
The farm is a private farm and is not currently open to the public on a day-to-day basis. However, Kelvin and Liz have hosted open days in the past and regular seasonal events.
Access is typically limited to special ticketed events, such as Christmas experiences, Easter adventures, and, as of February 2026, a new Farmers Market. The next public opening date has yet to be announced.
The Fletchers however, have loved the move to the countryside. Previously speaking about it, Kelvin: “It has been everything we wanted and more.
“It’s chaotic but we thrive on it. I’ve always loved the outdoors and countryside and I always had a bit of a dream and a vision of bringing up our family on our own farm. Who would have thought it? Playing a farmer and now here I am.”
The show has been a regular Sunday fixture at 11:30am each week. Series four brought some remarkable highs for the Fletcher family, alongside some truly devastating lows.
Not only were the family forced to vacate their farmhouse following a fire, but they also made the tragic discovery that their cow, Cherry, had died.
