Jeremy Clarkson ‘will probably faint’ as neighbour Simon Cowell issued warning
Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone Farmers Choir will compete in the Britain’s Got Talent final tonight, with the Clarkson’s Farm star saying he’ll ‘probably faint’ if his choir wins the competition
A choir established by Jeremy Clarkson is set to take the stage in tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent final, with the ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ presenter saying he’ll “probably faint” should they claim victory. Yet, should the Hawkstone Farmers Choir fall short and face Simon Cowell make a “nasty” comment, Jeremy’s colleague Kaleb Cooper has jokingly threatened to “f*** up” the head judge’s hedge with his tractor.
In his recent column for The Sun, the 66-year-old wrote: “So the Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir was born and tonight, after two spell-binding performances in the heats, they are in the final of Britain’s Got Talent. I’ll be there, cheering them on. And I cannot wait. Even my hair is excited.”
He added: “If they win, I shall probably faint. And I have a message from Kaleb to Simon Cowell, who’s a neighbour of ours: ‘If you say anything nasty about them, I’ll get in my tractor and f*** up your hedge.'”
Cowell owns an £8million Cotswolds farmhouse in Oxfordshire, which he previously showcased in videos promoting a Netflix programme. His property sits near Clarkson’s own estate at Diddly Squat Farm close to Chipping Norton.
The Hawkstone Farmers Choir was formed 12 months ago when the former Top Gear presenter sought to create a farmers’ ensemble capable of performing “sing sweary songs to advertise my beer”.
Following advertisements placed in local farming publications, a collective of agricultural workers soon assembled, enthusiastically singing “f*** me, it’s good” in promotion of his Hawkstone beer brand. Clarkson praised the group as both talented and patient, noting their reluctance to go their separate ways once filming had wrapped up.
In a post published today, he wrote: “Even though they were from all over the country, they decided to stick together.
“They said that farming is a lonely job and it was good to feel part of a gang.”
This tight-knit group could tonight be crowned the 19th winner of Britain’s Got Talent, a feat that would net them £250,000 and secure them a coveted spot performing at the Royal Variety Show.
The grand finale airs on ITV tonight (May 30) from 7pm until 9.30pm, where the choir will go head-to-head with nine other acts, including singers, magicians and a drone art group.
Following the Hawkstone Farmers Choir’s progression to the final, Kaleb Cooper shared a video of a jubilant Jeremy punching the air in celebration.
The group, widely regarded as frontrunners to claim the title on the Ant and Dec-hosted show, responded to the clip, saying: “We just can’t believe it. Thank you all so much. Thank you for believing in us.”
Offering a glimpse into Jeremy’s off-screen persona, choir member and mother-of-three Katryna Shell remarked: “He is exactly how he is on TV. He’s so nice. He’s genuinely so interested in our journey.
