Harriet Cowan from Clarkson’s Farm shows ‘hidden talent’ fans had no idea about
Harriet Cowan, who appeared on Clarkson’s Farm as a temporary replacement for farm manager Kaleb Cooper, has amazed fans after sharing her unexpected hidden talent
Harriet Cowan has left fans astonished after posting photographs of herself taking part in an unexpected competition, showcasing a surprising skill that has impressed many. The immensely successful Prime Video programme, Clarkson’s Farm, returned to our screens this month, following Jeremy Clarkson as he continues his fifth year running his agricultural enterprise.
Over the years, he’s benefited from significant help from various professionals, including vets, countryside specialists, and local farmers who’ve offered guidance and support whenever required. Among these individuals is Harriet Cowan, who stepped in temporarily as farm manager while Kaleb Cooper was away on a speaking tour. Despite her limited time on the programme, the former community nurse from Derbyshire rapidly captured viewers’ affections with her extensive knowledge, quick wit, and no-nonsense manner.
While her role in the show has been limited, appearing only briefly in the most recent fifth series, she maintains a substantial social media following, where she regularly documents her work across different farms.
However, it appears agricultural work isn’t her sole expertise, as she recently unveiled another hidden skill on Instagram through photographs from a competition she participated in.
In her post, she disclosed that she’d been taking part in a Tug of War tournament at the Lincoln show, where her team secured an impressive position.
“What a day! We finished joint 2nd after some hard-fought pulls, but because they don’t allow joint placings, it came down to team weight… and unfortunately, being the heavier team meant we were pushed into 3rd place!” she wrote in the caption accompanying her Instagram post.
The images captured Harriet alongside her Derbyshire teammates, all sporting coordinated kit comprising black shorts, white team shirts and boots.
In the photographs, Harriet can be seen with her hair tied back in a ponytail, wearing an army green cap, as she and her teammates grip the thick rope during competition.
Despite missing out on victory, she expressed pride in her squad’s performance: “Still incredibly proud of the team and the effort everyone put in. Plenty of laughs, plenty of bruises, and another great day representing Derbyshire at Lincoln Show.”
She concluded her post with: “Roll on the next one,”.
Her followers quickly flooded the comments section, expressing astonishment at discovering this unexpected skill, with many offering congratulations.
“This is AWESOME! ! !” wrote one follower. Another commented: “Amazing girls Well done. Miss my tug of war days.”
“Strong girls club,” a third person remarked, while another user added: “smashed it.”
“How Jeremy feels helping birth a calf. LOL,” one person joked, referencing the memorable scene from the latest series where Jeremy assisted with a cow’s delivery.
Every episode of Clarkson’s Farm season 5 is currently available to watch on Amazon Prime.
