Jeremy Clarkson Announces New Venture Following Success of Clarkson’s Farm

It has now been one year since Jeremy Clarkson first revealed plans for a new chapter in his post-Top Gear career, as his agricultural venture continues to expand far beyond what anyone initially expected.

The former Top Gear and The Grand Tour presenter acquired Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington, Oxfordshire, in 2008, but it wasn’t until 2019 that he took a more hands-on role in its daily operations. That decision ultimately set the stage for the launch of Clarkson’s Farm, the Amazon Prime Video documentary series that first premiered in 2021 and quickly became a global hit.

The show, which follows Clarkson’s attempts to run a working farm in the Cotswolds, has been widely praised for highlighting both the humour and the harsh realities of modern British farming. Over its run, it has evolved from a light entertainment experiment into a surprisingly influential portrayal of rural life, agriculture policy, and the economic pressures facing farmers across the UK.

More recently, Clarkson’s Farm entered its fifth season, which was released in a staggered format across the month, allowing viewers to gradually follow the latest developments at Diddly Squat before all eight episodes became available for binge-watching. The new season continues to document the ongoing challenges faced by Clarkson and his farming team, alongside the expansion of associated ventures on and around the farm.

At the same time, interest in Clarkson’s broader business activities has grown significantly. One of the most talked-about developments over the past year has been his expansion into hospitality with the purchase of a Cotswolds pub, The Farmer’s Dog, located near Asthall. Acquired for approximately £1 million, the venue opened to the public in the summer of 2024 and has since become closely linked to the Clarkson’s Farm brand, further extending the ecosystem surrounding Diddly Squat Farm.

Clarkson himself has also continued to build on his publishing portfolio. In June 2025, he announced a new book titled Diddly Squat: The Farmer’s Dog, which explores both his farming experiences and the early development of the pub venture. It became the fifth instalment in his farming-related book series, adding another layer to the expanding media universe built around his agricultural life.

While no official confirmation has yet been made regarding future publishing plans, it is widely expected that another book will follow in the coming year, likely continuing the narrative established across previous volumes and aligning with ongoing developments from the television series.

Meanwhile, production on Clarkson’s Farm has already moved forward, with filming for Season 6 confirmed to be underway. Early indications suggest the new season will continue tracking the evolving reality of life at Diddly Squat, with a projected release window around 2027.

As Clarkson enters yet another phase of his farming and media career, what began as a personal experiment has now become a long-running franchise encompassing television, publishing, and hospitality—each reinforcing the other. For fans, the past year has only strengthened the sense that the Clarkson farming story is far from slowing down, with new projects and expansions continuing to emerge alongside the ongoing series.
