Big Success, Parker Schnabel Makes Huge Profits!

Parker Schnabel’s Gamble Pays Off: Big Red and Slucifer Finally Strike Gold

After months of grueling preparation, Parker Schnabel’s massive gold mining operation is finally firing on all cylinders. For the first time this season, his legendary wash plant, Big Red, is up and running—and the results are beginning to shine.

It’s a pivotal moment halfway through the mining season. With both Big Red and Slucifer now operational, Parker’s team is finally pushing full throttle. “We can’t survive off of just one sluice box anymore,” Parker admitted, underscoring the high-stakes nature of this year’s operation.

At the El Dorado cut, Kenan Stewart’s Slucifer is chewing through dirt. Meanwhile, Big Red has finally made it down to pay dirt in the infamous “Money Pit” at Dominion, a section Parker has poured $15 million into developing. Whether this risky investment would yield gold—or become a bottomless pit—has loomed large. “If there’s no gold in it, we’re wasting a lot of time,” Parker confessed. “But it’s just very different ground than we’ve mined before.”

With over 2,222 ounces already recovered, Parker is nearly halfway to his ambitious 5,000-ounce goal. But he’s also feeling the pressure like never before. “We’ve taken our spending to a whole new level. There’s a lot riding on revenue right now.”

Gold Troubles and Technical Headaches

While the operation is ramping up, it hasn’t been without hiccups. Gold recovery expert Chris Doumitt flagged a serious issue with Slucifer during the first cleanup of the week. The gold was collecting unevenly in the sluice box—far too much was settling in the right wing. That’s a red flag, suggesting a serious imbalance in the wash plant itself.

Plant boss Tyson Lee jumped into action. With foreman Mitch Blaschke on leave, the responsibility fell squarely on his shoulders. His diagnosis? Slucifer had settled unevenly, leaning toward the right wing, causing the riffles to overload and spill valuable gold.

“We’re losing gold, guaranteed,” Tyson said. He ordered a shutdown, brought in an excavator, and re-leveled the entire plant. “We need a good, consistent wash plant running. And we’re not getting that right now.”

After making the adjustments and rebalancing the system, Tyson’s work paid off. The next cleanup from El Dorado showed even gold distribution, and the numbers proved it: 168.5 ounces worth over $336,000.

Big Red Proves It’s Still a Beast

Then came the real test—Big Red’s first full run in the Money Pit. Expectations were sky-high. Parker needed at least 230 ounces to prove the ground was viable.

The weigh-in exceeded all hopes: 410.55 ounces, worth over $820,000. Cheers erupted. “It’s smoking down there,” Parker said, grinning. “That’s good ground.”

The week’s total? 578.95 ounces, pushing the season total to 2,222.5 ounces and clearing the $1.15 million mark in just one week.

Fine-Tuning for the Future

The crew’s final task was to upgrade the dredge’s top sluice box with Freddy Dodge’s “Goldilocks” riffles—a small modification that could yield big rewards. “These riffles do really good,” Freddy explained. “In my tests, they improved recovery by 6% on 250,000 tons of dirt.”

With the system now upgraded and both plants humming, Parker is optimistic—but cautious. “We’re almost halfway,” he said. “But we’ve still got a long way to go.”

One thing’s certain: the gamble at Dominion may just be turning into Parker Schnabel’s most profitable play yet.
