The Curse of Oak Island

Gold in the Garden Shaft? Oak Island Team Hits Stunning New Milestones

The treasure hunt on Oak Island has entered a thrilling new phase, and this time, the clues aren’t just whispers—they’re shouts. Deep inside the Garden Shaft, the team has uncovered an old wooden ladder, timber that tests positive for traces of gold, and a series of carefully dug voids that hint at something buried with purpose.

“This isn’t just guessing anymore,” said long-time team member Rick Lagina. “We’re staring at evidence.”

From golden flakes in the water to ancient walls emerging from the dirt, the Oak Island team is mapping out what could be the most convincing trail yet. A mysterious area nicknamed the “Baby Blob”—a patch of earth no bigger than a tool shed—is giving up secrets long buried: tunnels, voids, and more gold-bearing wood at nearly every level.

And it’s not just about what lies beneath. On Lot 26, forestry expert Peter Romky uncovered a wall that appears to be built using medieval techniques—possibly tied to the Portuguese Order of Christ, the successors of the Knights Templar. Across the island, near Lot 11, a hidden well gave up iron spikes, ancient hooks, and traces of silver.

“It’s all lining up,” said geoscientist Dr. Ian Spooner. “Burned wood, unusual soil, engineered structures—none of it’s natural. Someone tried to keep something hidden.”

In the war room, researcher Francisco Nogueira suggested the island may have played a role in the 1500s during a chaotic Portuguese succession crisis. Could fleeing nobles have hidden treasure here? Evidence from stone roads and walls resembling 15th-century Portuguese craftsmanship says maybe.

Archaeometallurgist Emma Culligan confirmed gold traces in multiple wood samples, adding fuel to the fire. Even the trees, water, and air seem to whisper the same story.

“The deeper we go,” said team member Marty Lagina, “the more it feels like the island is finally ready to confess.”

With dozens of new boreholes underway and an expanding investigation that now reaches across the Atlantic, the Oak Island mystery may be closer than ever to being solved.

Stay tuned. Something is happening at 90 feet—and the island isn’t done talking.
