Jeremy Clarkson unveils new Diddly Squat Farm plans with innovative career venture

Jeremy Clarkson, who’s had his fair share of ups and downs while tending to the soils, is set on generating additional income for his cherished Diddly Squat Farm, in Oxfordshire.

Having bought the farm situated in a quaint Cotswolds village back in 2008, the much-loved TV star has since watched it become the centre of attention through his hit Amazon Prime series, Clarkson’s Farm.

Seeking to enhance farm profits, Jeremy introduced Pat Cummins, Australian Men’s Cricket Captain and Prime Video Australia ambassador, to his handcrafted cricket bats.

During the third episode of Clarkson’s Farm’s fourth series, Jeremy plunges into an ambitious undertaking by planting English Cricket bat Willow, aiming to craft cricket bats directly from his land.

To assess his new venture’s success, Jeremy invites world-renowned cricketer and fellow farmer Pat Cummins to try out the cricket bat made from homegrown willow, staged at none other than Diddly Squat Farm itself, reports Gloucestershire Live.

Pat received a VIP tour and even convinced the Grand Tour star into offering him a spin in his iconic Lamborghini tractor, ending in a spontaneous round of garden cricket.

Eager to give the Diddly Squat Farm-crafted bat its dues, Pat partakes in a hands-on trial, using timber sourced straight from the farm’s crop.

Kaleb Cooper along with Charlie Ireland, endearingly known as “cheerful Charlie”, joined the scene, providing batting support as Pat assumed the role of a bowler.

Jeremy Clarkson has candidly expressed his indifference towards cricket, saying: “I’ve never been a fan of cricket. I always had too much hay fever to know what was going on. But at least now I’ve found a way to make some money out of it..”

He also reminisced about the guests who have visited Diddly Squat Farm: “We enjoyed showing Pat around Diddly Squat Farm, after we had Oscar Piastri visit us previously as well. The only non-Australian sportsman who’s visited was David Beckham.”

In other news, Jeremy Clarkson caused a stir on Instagram today when he vented his frustration over a pilot practising aerobatics above his farm.

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire presenter didn’t hold back, sharing his irritation with his followers: “Fit it with a f***ing silencer,” which garnered quite a reaction from his online audience.

Former RAF pilot Mike Edwards, aged 57, acknowledged the disturbance in an interview with The Sun, where he extended his apologies to the Grand Tour presenter for the inconvenience caused on May 3.
