Gold Rush

The Ground Is POURING Gold – Parker Schnabel Hits the Jackpot!

YUKON TERRITORY – Parker Schnabel and his tenacious crew have once again etched their names into gold mining history. After a season of intense labor, mechanical breakdowns, and daring moves, the young mining mogul has unearthed what may be the richest ground they’ve ever mined—totaling a staggering 8,118 ounces of gold, worth an estimated $14 million.

Despite fierce weather conditions and persistent machinery malfunctions, the Schnabel crew powered through what could have been a season of setbacks. Led by Mitch Blaschke, Parker’s right-hand man, the team worked tirelessly to mine 90 acres of gold-rich Yukon terrain—pulling 52,000 ounces from just 60 acres midway through the season.

The largest source of gold came from two wash plants—Big Red and Slucifer—which operated around the clock to keep up with demand. At one point, Big Red’s grizzly bars failed, bringing operations to a halt. After a grueling six-hour repair job, the plant was back online, pumping out nearly 2,772 ounces, while Slucifer’s cuts added 3,428 ounces to the tally.

In a display of appreciation, Schnabel gifted the crew a handcrafted $122,000 gold ashtray—forged from 695 ounces of their own haul.

Tensions at Indian River and Fred Lewis’s Operation

Back on the Indian River Claim, Mitch was racing the clock to process mountains of paydirt before the freeze. Both plants began to suffer under the stress, with Big Red’s sluice runs becoming clogged by a blown-out screen. Quick action by Tyson and Evans saved the day, removing boulders and replacing the deck before more gold could be lost.

Later, Parker paid a surprise visit to Fred Lewis’s mining site in Alaska, finding equipment in poor condition. Parker, having just spent over $100,000 on new screens, was dismayed by Fred’s lack of upkeep—reminding viewers and fellow miners alike: “A wash plant makes or breaks your season.”

A Wild Wash Plant Relocation

With time running out, the crew was forced to relocate a fully assembled wash plant—an engineering challenge that tested every ounce of their experience. Navigating a runway-turned-road and dodging airplane landings, they finally positioned the wash plant with the help of a 12-ton Super Stacker, marking the beginning of what they called the “Panama Canal Cut.”

Slucifer’s initial run from the Panama Canal was nothing short of extraordinary, producing 159 ounces in just three days—worth over $270,000.

Final Push Breaks Records

In the final week, with icy weather looming, the team pulled off an all-night gold run, collecting 388.13 ounces from Slucifer pre-wash, followed by 248 ounces from the Panama Canal. Total gold for the week: 629 ounces. The final season total: 8,118 ounces—just shy of last year’s 8,300, but the second-highest total in Schnabel history.

“This season was brutal,” Parker said at the final weigh-in. “But the guys stuck it out. We faced challenge after challenge—and still came out with over $14 million in gold.”
