Jerry Betrayed? Mike Points the Finger Over Missing Still!

A brazen theft has rattled the outlaw moonshine community in Maggie Valley after a one-of-a-kind air-cooled copper still vanished without a trace. The device, belonging to veteran shiners Mike, Jerry, and Richard, was reportedly taken straight from the woods — a remote still site deep in the North Carolina backcountry.

Mike and Richard made the shocking discovery during a routine supply run to fetch mash barrels. “It was just gone,” Mike said. “We come back and broke the news to Jerry. He swore he didn’t take it out of the woods — and I believe him. But something’s not right.”

With no leads and time ticking on their moonshine production season, the trio turned to their underground network — what they call their “Outlaw Network” — to track down clues.

Then came a break. A mysterious contact told Jerry he had seen a grainy, shaky video of a man stumbling through the woods at night near a still. The footage reportedly showed a copper-laden rig eerily similar to their stolen design.

But trust fractured when Jerry, acting on the tip, insisted on going alone to retrieve the video — refusing to name his contact or location. “He just said it’s a buddy of his,” Richard recalled. “But wouldn’t say who. Wouldn’t let us come. That’s not how we roll.”

The secrecy raised suspicions. As Richard and Mike swept the old site for clues — discovering fresh tire tracks, a length of rope, and leftover fan parts — doubts grew about Jerry’s intentions. Whispers of betrayal began to stir.

“He designed that still,” Mike admitted. “It’s his baby. And we’re splitting profits three ways now — way less than last season. My wheels are turning, and I hate it, but… you never know.”

Tensions boiled over when Jerry returned with the damning video. The still in the clip was unmistakably theirs. But when pressed about the suspect’s identity, Jerry clammed up again. The confrontation ended in a fiery exchange, with Jerry storming off and accusing his partners of betrayal.

“You better not be pulling one over our eyes,” Mike warned.

“I told you I didn’t take it!” Jerry fired back, before walking away.

Despite the blow-up, cooler heads are prevailing. Mike later approached Jerry to make peace, recognizing that unity is crucial if they’re going to recover their still — and save their season.

“We got to get to the bottom of this,” Mike said. “We’re a team. We need to act like it.”

As of now, the identity of the suspect remains unknown, and the whereabouts of the stolen still remain a mystery.

But in the hills of Maggie Valley, where trust is as fragile as copper piping, the truth has a way of boiling to the surface.
