Jeremy Clarkson announces surprise business decision following health problems

The Clarkson’s Farm star call his recently opened Farmer’s Dog pub his his last business

Jeremy Clarkson has issued an update on the state of his business portfolio, surprising his fans by admitting he’s “done” with starting any new ventures.

The latest season the hit Amazon Prime Video series, Clarkson’s Farm, catalogued the 65-year-old’s launch of the Farmer’s Dog pub.

The opening wasn’t without its hiccups, and while the former Grand Tour star continues to enjoy his pivot to farming, it won’t be starting any new businesses anytime soon.

In an interview with the Telegraph, Jeremy stated: “I’m done with business now. I am not starting another business as long as I live. I don’t understand it and am not motivated by money. I just want a good craic.”

It comes after the star disclosed a new health concern just months after his urgent heart surgery.

He underwent heart surgery last year, following an incident while on holiday in the Indian Ocean.

Shortly after returning to the UK, an ambulance rushed him to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital where tests ruled out a heart attack.

Clarkson later confessed in his column: “It wasn’t especially painful. Just odd,” adding: “Crikey, that was close.”

The filming of Clarkson’s Farm’s fourth season wasn’t without issue either, as he later admitted to grappling with various challenges of opening The Farmer’s Dog pub, navigating constant obstacles and bureaucracy.

Yet, Jeremy’s health scare originated from an incident while he was holidaying in the Indian Ocean.

Having initially planned a graceful dive, he realised mid-air that he would land awkwardly.

He explained that he ended up performing a “belly flop” which then put a strain on his body as he tried to swim back to shore.

In his Sunday Times column, he explained: “When I finally reached the beach my lungs were full of water and I realised I can’t do it anymore.”

He also shared his worry about falling over, adding: “There’s just no sense that my knees can handle the pressure.”
