Jeremy Clarkson warning to guests visiting pub this summer

Jeremy Clarkson has issued a warning to guests wanting to visit his Cotswold pub The Farmer’s Dog this summer.

The former Top Gear and Grand Tour host bought The Windmill in Asthall near Burford for around £1million before renovating the location.

Renaming it The Farmer’s Dog, the celebrity presenter reopened the Cotswold boozer to the public last August.

The pub has been regularly busy in the months following with tourists flocking to the spot to see the TV star.

Hawkstone is served on tap while a restaurant serves a British-ingredient menu only with a carvery available on Sundays.

And it has become so popular following its debut on the fourth series of Clarkson’s Farn, Mr Clarkson has told one customer it is “really busy” right now.

One Twitter user asked the journalist what is the best day to come and if people visiting need to book a table before arriving.

He responded: “You definitely have to reserve a table in the pub. It’s really busy at the moment. But there’s great food in the garden and you don’t need a reservation for that.”
