The Curse of Oak Island

NEW MINDBLOWING Discovery On Oak Island Money Pit Revealed!

For over 200 years, Oak Island, a small, misty isle off Nova Scotia’s coast, has drawn generations of treasure hunters into its labyrinth of tunnels, booby traps, and legends of hidden riches. Now, the Lagina brothers – Rick and Marty, along with their dedicated team, might be closer than ever to solving its greatest secrets.

In the latest season of The Curse of Oak Island, the team’s methodical digs, historical research, and high-tech scans have unearthed stunning finds that span centuries and continents fueling new theories that the island’s story is far older and more complex than anyone imagined.

Ancient Coins Hint at Global Voyages

Returning to Lot 5 on the island’s western side, the team’s metal detectors struck gold literally. Rick, Marty, Craig Tester, and metal-detecting expert Gary Drayton uncovered a string of coins that span cultures and centuries: a 16th-century Tudor coin featuring a portcullis design, three Roman coins dating as far back as 100–300 AD, and even a coin believed to be an Indian piece from the 6th–8th century.

“It raises the question how did Roman and medieval coins end up buried together on a tiny island off Nova Scotia?” Rick Lagina asked on camera, marveling at the thought of transatlantic voyages long before Columbus.

The team consulted coin specialists who confirmed the finds’ authenticity, stoking theories of hidden hoards, Templar voyages, and secret settlements that predate known colonial history.

Lead Seal Adds a Military Twist

In another major find, Rick and Gary unearthed a lead bag seal an ancient method for securing large shipments of goods. Tests by archaeologist Emma Culligan revealed the seal matched designs from an 18th-century London cloth packer tied to the British military.

With links to earlier finds like a medieval lead cross and other lead artifacts, the seal suggests British military activity on Oak Island perhaps a clue to who might have hidden valuables deep below.

The Blue Clay and the Quadrilateral

Meanwhile, on Lot 13 near the swamp, the team turned up familiar blue clay identical to the type used to seal the original Money Pit in 1804. Found under a strange, four-sided rock formation dubbed the “Quadrilateral,” the clay, analyzed by Dr. Ian Spooner, appeared deliberately placed, possibly as waterproofing for a hidden vault.

Digging deeper, the crew uncovered a centuries-old iron staple that blacksmith expert Emma Culligan believes was part of a rope-and-pulley system, likely designed to move massive stones or safeguard a secret chamber.

A Presidential Link: Roosevelt’s Boot

Digging into the depths of the original Money Pit, the Laginas’ team also recovered a 19th-century boot believed to belong to a member of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s 1909 treasure expedition. Roosevelt, then a young lawyer and Freemason, once funded an early Oak Island dig proof that America’s elite have long chased the island’s elusive promise.

Deep Shafts, Ancient Tools

Elsewhere, a rock drill spike discovered over 100 feet underground points to early mining work, with blacksmith expert Carmen Leg confirming it’s the type of tool used centuries ago echoing previous finds of mid-15th century swages that sharpened drills for stonework.

Could the Mystery Finally Be Solved?

The avalanche of new discoveries from ancient coins to engineering relics has the team more optimistic than ever. Theories swirl of Templar knights, hidden pirate loot, Aztec connections, and transatlantic voyages that may have brought treasures and secrets long before recorded settlement.

The Lagina brothers remain determined. For Rick, every artifact is another puzzle piece. For Marty, each find is proof that the island’s treasure is more than gold, it’s a story buried deep in history, waiting to be told.

As they drill deeper into the Money Pit and the island’s cryptic swamp, the world watches. Could 2024 be the year Oak Island finally gives up its centuries-old secrets? Only time and a few more remarkable discoveries will tell.
