Gold Rush

Tyler Mahoney Strikes Again: Gold, Snakes, and Big Yukon Plans

Renowned Aussie gold hunter Tyler Mahoney is proving once again why she’s one of the outback’s most determined prospectors — battling heat, rocks, and stubborn ground to chase down elusive nuggets buried deep in an old goldfield this week.

Armed with her trusty detectors — the GPX 4500 and the SDC 2300 — Tyler and her family crew spent the day working an ancient hillside scattered with old diggings and dry blowings. It’s rough, snake-riddled country — but perfect for the kind of gold she’s after.

Family Gold Fever

At the scrapes, Tyler worked alongside her dad and brother Reese, who was quick to call her over when a promising signal screamed through the headphones. But as always with gold hunting, the outback doesn’t give up its treasures easily.

False signals, stubborn quartz, and even the odd shaving from the loader bucket kept everyone guessing. But Tyler’s determination paid off — a bright yellow nugget finally emerged from the dirt.

“Might only be 20 grams,” Tyler laughed, “but I’ll take that any day — it all adds up.”

Snakes, Signals, and The Old Boys

Adding to the drama, Reese narrowly missed stepping on a snake hidden in the tall grass — just another reminder of how wild the Aussie goldfields can be. Between digging, Tyler paused to point out old costean lines and dry blowing heaps left by prospectors long gone.

“These hills were hammered by the old boys,” Tyler explained. “We’re chasing the alluvial gold they missed — and every signal keeps the story alive.”

Bigger Dreams Up North

While the Aussie ground keeps paying, Tyler’s gold dreams stretch far beyond the bush. She’s confirmed she’s heading back to the Yukon, where she made her name as one of TV’s most popular gold hunters.

But this time, it’s not solo. “I’ve started my fifth business — but for the first time, I’ve got co-founders,” Tyler said. “It’s a game changer. We all bring different strengths, we trust each other completely, and we’re all in it for the right reasons.”

Tyler says the new venture doesn’t hinge on big money but on smart teamwork — and if it doesn’t pan out, she’ll count it as experience gained, not time wasted.

More Gold To Come

Back at camp, Tyler’s dad cleaned up the day’s haul as the family packed down for an early knock-off before the long Easter break. The cleaned nuggets will be revealed in Tyler’s next vlog — and fans can bet there’ll be more gold, more drama, and plenty more stories to come.
