Jeremy Clarkson launches new Hawkstone with unique flavour
Jeremy Clarkson has launched a new Hawkstone cider with a unique flavour.
The former Top Gear and Grand Tour host purchased Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire back in 2008.
This proved to be the focus of his popular Prime Video show, Clarkson’s Farm, which documents his agricultural adventures in Chadlington.
In 2021, Mr Clarkson and the Cotswold Brew Co launched the Hawkstone brand, which now offers a range of premium British lagers, ciders and vodka.
Named after an ancient standing stone in the Cotswolds, the beer was originally made from the barley grown at Diddly Squat Farm.
As the fastest-growing beer brand in the UK, Hawkstone is also the most followed beer in the world on Instagram.
Now, a new cider has been launched by the alcohol brand, described as “an unholy union of delicious British fruit”.
Hawkstone Rhuba***rd features a predominantly rhubarb flavour and has already proved a hit with the cider selling out at launch.
A statement from the alcohol brand said: “Our tangy new rhubarb cider is so good that you drank us dry within hours of launch.
“Pre-order your case while we make some more.”
You can purchase a case of 12 cans for £28 on the Hawkstone website, but it is currently on a pre-order basis only.
The four per cent cider is expected to be released during the week commencing Monday, August 4.
A statement from Hawkstone added: “When rhubarb and apples joined, outside of wedlock, Rhuba***rd was born.
“The British-farmed zingy rhubarb tartness is finely balanced with sweetness from the apple base and zesty citrus.
“When you open the can, you get hits of mouthwatering fruit with light floral and herbal notes.
“Guaranteed to make even the grumpiest ba***rd smile.”
