Amazon issues Clarkson’s Farm series 6 update – all to know

Amazon Prime Video has reportedly approved plans for a sixth series of Clarkson’s Farm, signalling continued confidence in one of its most successful unscripted shows.

The series’ presenter Jeremy Clarkson, 65, completed filming on the fifth season last year, with that instalment expected to arrive on Prime Video later in 2026. Despite announcing that he would take a short break from television in early 2026 — his first extended pause in four decades — Clarkson has made it clear that the farming series remains very much part of his future plans.

Speaking to The Sun, Clarkson explained why the production team finally decided to slow down after years of back-to-back filming. “We’ve never had a rest,” he said. “We wrap a series and immediately start again because farming doesn’t stop. You harvest and you’re immediately drilling for the next year.”

This time, circumstances aligned to make a pause possible. Clarkson noted that Kaleb Cooper was away filming in Australia, while he himself had been working on Millionaire Hot Seat. “I really wanted to have a holiday because I haven’t had one in ages,” he said. “So we just said, ‘OK, let’s actually wrap it.’”

Crucially, the break does not signal an end to the show. Clarkson confirmed there would “definitely” be a sixth series, adding that both he and Amazon were keen to continue. “Amazon want to do series six and I want to,” he said. “I’ve got a good idea for six. I said I’ll stop doing them when there are no more ideas — but I’ve got two quite good ones, so we’ll do six and then we’ll see.”

In typical Clarkson fashion, filming conditions were tied to the weather. He previously joked that production for the next series would begin “if it snows”. When snowfall arrived across parts of the UK in January, Clarkson was soon back out in the fields at Diddly Squat Farm, with cameras reportedly rolling again shortly afterwards.

According to The Sun, momentum behind the project has increased in recent weeks, with Prime Video executives now giving formal approval for the sixth series. A source told the publication that the production team is “on target” to deliver the new season next year.

As for the immediate future, viewers are still awaiting confirmation of a release date for series five. While Amazon has yet to announce an official schedule, the new season is widely expected to land on Prime Video in April or May.

With series six now reportedly signed off, Clarkson’s Farm looks set to remain a central part of Prime Video’s UK lineup, continuing to blend modern farming realities with Clarkson’s distinctive perspective for at least another season.
