Clarkson’s Farm fans are convinced a spin-off show could be in the works

Jeremy Clarkson was seen tasting wines in an Instagram post, which has led to fans speculating about a possible spin-off show that has sparked a lot of debate

Fans of Clarkson’s Farm are speculating that a spin-off programme could be on the horizon after a clue shared on Instagram. The presenter-turned-agriculturalist Jeremy Clarkson was spotted tasting wines in a viral Instagram post, leading some enthusiasts to wonder whether he might be gearing up for a separate series.

A discussion on the r/ClarksonsFarm Reddit forum sparked speculation amongst viewers about a potential programme centred around his recently launched establishment, The Farmer’s Dog pub.

Clarkson’s Farm concluded its fourth series earlier this year, with a fifth instalment already confirmed. In the interim, fans believe they have found hints pointing to a new programme in development.

One of Clarkson’s posts was circulated on the r/ClarksonsFarm subreddit, with the caption: “I reckon there’ll be a new Amazon show called ‘Clarkson’s Pub’ along shortly.”

Amazon Prime has not confirmed any spin-off to the popular Clarkson’s Farm, and while it remains unlikely to happen, it seems supporters are eager for additional content on the show.

Another enthusiast added: “It would be good to do something like that considering the amount of dislike it got for the amount of screen time v the farm. Allowing the farm to focus more on the farm and thus giving people that want both both or they can choose one or the other.”

A third agreed, adding: “It would ease the wait for the farm season so bring it on! Two shows per year.” Not everyone was enthusiastic about the prospect of a spin-off programme, however.

One viewer commented: “Hopefully the pub will be like the other projects from previous seasons and settle into the background, cropping up from time to time or when something of interest happens, but otherwise its just there.

“Like how the mushrooms were a big project getting started, but just became part of a list of chores in the following season.”

Another fan added: “Honestly, what he needs is something on a bigger scale. The pubs cannot carry his popularity. I’d do a hawkers centre kind of thing, all with British produce, drinks, ample parking etc.”

A third person commented: “Nah. The pub serves two purposes for Clarkson’s Farm (the show) – first of all, it helps the show connect the dots between the farmer and the plate.

“Second of all, it’s a high-volume location for fans of the show to go and spend money. The farm shop struggled and ultimately failed to fill this role, due to a combination of factors.”

A fourth agreed with the above comment, proposing the “content” would become “stale” if additional episodes were produced. They shared: “Also, content. It’s apparent Clarkson (or the producers) do not what the show to get stale.

“Each season there is some major ‘problem’ to overcome. This is good TV, my problem is most of the ‘problem’ is made up or blown out of proportion.”
