Clarkson’s Farm Fans Call on Jeremy Clarkson to “Make It Official” as He Marks Ninth Anniversary with Lisa Hogan
Jeremy Clarkson has found himself at the centre of a lively public debate after fans of Clarkson’s Farm urged him to marry long-term partner Lisa Hogan. The calls followed a heartfelt post shared by the 65-year-old presenter, marking the couple’s ninth anniversary together.
Clarkson, known globally for his years on Top Gear and The Grand Tour, began dating Hogan in 2017. Since then, the pair have become one of the most recognisable partnerships on Prime Video due to their roles on Clarkson’s Farm, the hit series documenting the broadcaster’s attempt to run a 1,000-acre farm in West Oxfordshire.
Hogan, a former Irish actress, manages the Diddly Squat Farm Shop in Chadlington and has become a central figure in the programme, often balancing humour, patience and practical sense as Clarkson navigates the realities of agriculture. Their dynamic has made them fan favourites, both on and off screen.
On Monday (December 8), Clarkson took to Instagram to share a photograph celebrating their nine years together. “Nine years to the day,” he wrote, while Hogan playfully reshared the post, joking: “Feels like 900 years.” The light-hearted exchange quickly sparked a wave of comments from viewers offering congratulations—and encouragement for the couple to take the next step.
“Put a ring on it. Women like this don’t come along often!” one follower wrote, while another added: “Time to put a ring on the lovely Lisa!” Dozens of similar comments appeared within minutes, creating a trending discussion among fans who have long been invested in the couple’s story.
The subject of marriage is not new for Clarkson and Hogan. In fact, Hogan previously revealed that she once attempted to propose herself. Speaking to The Times, she explained that during last year’s leap day—February 29, traditionally seen as a day when women may propose—she quietly asked Clarkson the question. However, according to her own account, the proposal may never have registered.
“Jeremy doesn’t think I proposed, but he wasn’t wearing his hearing aids, so no one will know,” she said with amusement.
Despite the ongoing public encouragement, the couple have shown no indication that an engagement is imminent. Still, their anniversary post has reignited the conversation, demonstrating just how invested viewers have become in their relationship—both as partners and as central figures in one of Britain’s most talked-about agricultural programmes.
