Clarkson’s Farm season 5 filming schedule explained as it returns to Prime Video

Clarkson’s Farm season 5 is now streaming on Prime Video, but when exactly did filming take place?
Clarkson’s Farm, amongst Prime Video’s most beloved original series, has made its return this week (Wednesday, 3rd June) for its eagerly awaited fifth season.
The hugely successful programme chronicles former Top Gear and The Grand Tour host Jeremy Clarkson as he endeavours to manage his own Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton, alongside his partner Lisa Hogan and farmer Kaleb Cooper.
This series kicks off with high-stakes drama as Jeremy is rushed to hospital for emergency cardiac surgery.
Following a successful procedure, he returns to his regular responsibilities at Diddly Squat, though under firm orders to rest and monitor his diet carefully.
That doesn’t prevent Jeremy from throwing himself back into the thick of things, however, and he quickly finds himself waist-deep in rambunctious sheep, snail slime, and the unexpectedly intricate business of operating a Santa’s Grotto.
But when exactly was Clarkson’s Farm series five filmed?
Fresh seasons of Clarkson’s Farm typically begin production nearly two years prior to broadcast.
The opening instalment features his health emergency, which took place in October 2024.
Jeremy subsequently confirmed series five was officially underway with footage posted across social media platforms back in November 2024.
Offering a preview of the drone display featured in the initial four episodes released this week, he stood before an enormous number ‘5’ lit up against the night sky.
“Over the years, bright lights in the sky have been used to make many important announcements,” he said. “The birth of the baby Jesus, for example.
“But tonight, they’re being used to make an announcement that’s even bigger than that. Season five of Clarkson’s Farm is coming. Eat your heart out James Burke!”
Production for series five subsequently ran from November 2024 through to September 2025, when he shared a photograph of the cast on Instagram. In the caption, he simply wrote: “Season 5. It’s a wrap.”
While a sixth series of Clarkson’s Farm is rumoured to arrive in summer 2027, filming faced setbacks due to adverse weather and agricultural restrictions, meaning fans may have to wait slightly longer than anticipated for the next chapter.
