Clarkson’s Farm star Harriet Cowan says ‘future is exciting’ as she shares huge update

Harriet Cowan made her debut on Clarkson’s Farm this year – and she recently shared an exciting update with her followers that many of them are totally thrilled about

Harriet Cowan became Jeremy Clarkson’s latest sidekick on season four of Clarkson’s Farm after the temporary departure of Kaleb Cooper. She is both a farm worker and a nurse – taking after both of her parents’ careers and being fantastic at them both.

The 24-year-old graduated from the University of Derby in 2023 with a degree in nursing, but now, her career has taken a totally different turn as she’s proven to be very popular on the TV show. Being flung into the limelight has had another impact on her life, too.

Harriet made a TikTok video, telling people that she was “in shock” at how many followers she’d managed to build up after the show aired. She’s managed to reach an impressive 700,000 followers on the social media platform.

Talking to the camera while in her caravan, she described the popularity she’d found as “insane,” saying she couldn’t “thank people enough” for wanting to “get involved” in her journey.

She shared that she was “300,000 off a million,” sharing that if she hit a million followers, she’d “be in shock forever”. Then, she let her followers into an exciting secret.

Harriet announced a potential new venture – as she’s thinking of starting a YouTube channel with her partner James. On the platform, she’d show her day-to-day life on the farm.

As well as asking fans if this is something they’d be interested in, Harriet explained more about her partner James. She revealed both of them are third-generation farmers, so agriculture really runs in their families.

Harriet shared that she wanted her platform to be “100% positive,” to encourage people to get into the farming profession, or for people to just watch her videos and enjoy.

She gushed: “I just want it to be a positive environment where people can chat, and ask questions, and learn from it – that’s the base of what I want to do. And then hopefully it’ll grow into something where we’ve got a lovely little community.”

Harriet then admitted that she didn’t think she was “big enough to start a YouTube,” but that people kept telling her to just “do it” because it’s “good fun”.

“If it’s something everyone is interested in, hopefully we’ll start it in the next couple of weeks,” she shared.

Harriet then went on to thank her followers once more, saying she “never expected” so many people to take an interest in her on social media, but she was “so, so grateful for it”.

“Just from cutting some eyebrows and driving some tractors,” she joked.

In the comments, people said that they “love” her, saying that she’s a “fantastic addition” to the show, so her social media success is “well deserved”.

Someone wrote: “You have a natural likability that truly sets you apart, and if I were you, I’d embrace that fully – it will take you far. I’m genuinely hoping you become the Farm Manager at Clarkson’s, if only to witness Kaleb’s tantrum!”

Another said: “Do it!! I know our family would watch, and I’m sure everyone who’s watched Clarkson’s Farm would definitely be interested!”

And a third added: “You are brilliant on Clarkson’s Farm. Need to be a permanent addition.”
