Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper quickly apologised after making the light-hearted comment about Jeremy Clarkson during Heart Radio’s Breakfast Show
Kaleb Cooper left Heart Radio presenters speechless on air this morning after he issued a brutal swipe at Jeremy Clarkson. The Clarkson’s Farm star is currently in London promoting his latest children’s book Kaleb’s Farmyard Tales: Escaping Animals and Runaway Tractors, following the programme’s recent triumph at The National Television Awards.
During a chat about his fourth novel, host Jamie Theakston mentioned that there’s “a runt of the pig litter” in his book named Jeremy.
He then proceeded to ask: “Where did you come up with that name?”, to which Kaleb responded: “I don’t know really, I just thought it was a great name.
“It sums up it’s, erm, you know every Jeremy is always a little bit of a runt,” he continued.
As the hosts laughed in disbelief, Kaleb swiftly offered an apology to anyone called Jeremy, saying: “I’m sure you’re lovely.”
This isn’t the first time the 27-year-old has playfully mocked his television colleague.
In his book, the farm worker also poked fun at the ITV presenter’s farming skills.
Whilst talking about chickens on the farm, he wrote: “Anyway, the point is, chickens are generally pretty easy – even my friend Jeremy can handle chickens, and he’s the WORST farmer I’ve ever seen.”
Kaleb offered somewhat kinder remarks about his co-star when discussing pigs.
“My friend Jeremy is actually quite a good pig farmer. Don’t tell him I said that,” he added.
The father-of-three shot to stardom on the award-winning programme Clarkson’s Farm, which launched in 2021.
Working as Jeremy’s right-hand man on the farm, he quickly emerged as a standout personality due to his candid remarks, agricultural knowledge, and amusing banter with the host.
Over the years, he has carved out his own professional path and has gained an impressive three million Instagram followers.
Speaking previously about his sudden rise to fame, he revealed that he sought advice from Jeremy.
He told The Sunday Times: “Six months into it, the director said to me, ‘Kaleb, you’re gonna be a massive celebrity.’ The day after it came out, I gained a million followers on Instagram.
“I went to Jeremy, ‘What do I do?’ He went, ‘Kaleb, you’ve got two options. You go out there and make all the money you can, and you fall off the face of the earth in five years’ time, or you go for longevity’.”
Opting for the second choice, the agricultural worker was given a cautionary message from Jeremy.
Kaleb remembered: “He said, ‘Right, OK, then you’ve got to be really careful what you do and what you don’t do’.
“So when someone says, ‘Do you want to do an advert for a brand, the money’s great,’ I think, ‘Probably not. I’d rather go sit on the tractor, actually’.”
