Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper heads to Australia for bold new series

Clarkson’s Farm favourite Kaleb Cooper has officially touched down in Australia — and he’s already proving that his sense of humour made the trip with him. The young farmer, best known for his no-nonsense approach and deadpan wit on Jeremy Clarkson’s hit Prime Video series, is currently filming his brand-new spin-off show, Kaleb: Down Under. It’s a dramatic change of scenery from the rolling fields of Diddly Squat Farm, and he isn’t shy about pointing out the differences.

In a cheeky Instagram Story posted shortly after his arrival, Kaleb shared a moment that had him struggling not to laugh. Filming from his car as The Killers’ “Mr Brightside” blasted through the speakers, he addressed his three million followers with a grin:
“Just driven through a place called Bald Knob… in Australia.”

He paused, clearly fighting back a laugh, before adding:
“Lovely place. It’s a mountain — no trees, nothing on the top.”

The clip quickly delighted fans, many of whom are used to Kaleb’s dry humour and his habit of poking fun at everything, including Jeremy Clarkson himself. Bald Knob, located in the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland, is indeed a real rural locality with a population of under 300 people, according to the 2021 census.

Kaleb’s Australian adventure comes as part of his upcoming four-part series Kaleb: Down Under, announced by Prime Video last month. The show will follow him as he embarks on his first-ever solo trip abroad to explore farming on a “massive scale” — a major step for the self-described Chipping Norton loyalist who once claimed he had a “borderline unhealthy obsession” with his hometown.

In the official announcement, Kaleb joked about what convinced him to finally board a long-haul flight:
“I spend most of my time with the most travelled man in the world, so I got brave and booked my first ever flight to see what all the fuss was about. Australia, here I come!”

Once there, the 26-year-old farmer hopes to discover whether he can expand his contracting business internationally. The series promises a deeper look into agriculture across Australia’s vast landscapes, where farms stretch for thousands of acres — a far cry from the tight-knit, often chaotic world of Diddly Squat.

According to Prime Video’s synopsis, viewers will watch Kaleb take on unfamiliar challenges as he learns from Australian farmers, experiences the harsh local climate, and immerses himself in the culture. The streaming platform also teased that this won’t be a sunny vacation: Kaleb will face the “gritty realities” of real farm work, complete with blisters, burns, backaches, and plenty of sweat.

Despite the new project, fans of Clarkson’s Farm need not worry. Prime Video has confirmed that Kaleb will return to the main series for Clarkson’s Farm season 5, set to be released next year.

As for Kaleb: Down Under, a premiere date has not yet been announced, but production is already underway — and if Kaleb’s early updates are anything to go by, viewers can expect a mix of hard graft, big landscapes, and plenty of trademark Kaleb humour. Until then, seasons 1–4 of Clarkson’s Farm remain available to stream on Prime Video.
