Clarkson’s Farm Star Kaleb Cooper Reveals Dream of Owning His Own Farm in the Cotswolds

Jeremy Clarkson and Kaleb Cooper are the stars of Clarkson’s Farm

Kaleb Cooper, the breakout star of Clarkson’s Farm, has revealed that his ultimate ambition is to one day own a farm of his own in the heart of the Cotswolds.

The 27-year-old farmhand, who has become a household name since first appearing alongside Jeremy Clarkson on the Prime Video hit series in 2021, spoke candidly in a new interview about his long-term goals. Despite the show catapulting him to fame, Kaleb remains firmly grounded in his agricultural roots, insisting that farming is not just a career but a calling.

“I was put on this earth to grow food,” he said in an interview with The Sunday Times. “Calves, chickens and a few pigs. That’s all I’ve ever wanted. I’m saving everything I can, but because it’s the Cotswolds, the prices are going through the f***ing roof.”

Kaleb currently rents grassland for his herd of around 200 beef cattle, while also managing four acres of his own. But buying farmland in the Oxfordshire region has become an uphill battle. Agricultural land near his hometown of Chipping Norton can now cost as much as £20,000 per acre — a daunting figure for any young farmer trying to break into land ownership.

Despite the challenges, Kaleb remains determined. The article notes that he is “in it for the long haul,” with his eyes firmly set on securing his own patch of Cotswold countryside. His determination reflects not only his personal dream but also the struggles faced by many young farmers across the UK, who find themselves priced out of the very industry they were born into.

Kaleb, who has two children with his partner Taya, recently celebrated the birth of their third child earlier this month. Balancing fatherhood with long days on the farm, he continues to juggle his family responsibilities with his relentless commitment to agriculture.

His authenticity and passion for farming have made him one of the most beloved figures on Clarkson’s Farm. Viewers have warmed to his no-nonsense approach, dry wit, and occasional exasperation at Jeremy Clarkson’s misadventures in agriculture. Many credit Kaleb as the true backbone of the show, a farmer who represents the realities of British farming in contrast to Clarkson’s larger-than-life personality.

Kaleb is expected to take on a central role once again in the highly anticipated fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm. Filming is currently underway in Oxfordshire, with the new series set to arrive on Prime Video in 2026.

Until then, Kaleb will continue saving for his ultimate goal. And while the road to land ownership may be long and expensive, there is little doubt that his resilience and determination will carry him through. After all, as Kaleb himself has often said, farming isn’t just what he does — it’s who he is.
