Clarkson’s Farm’s Kaleb Cooper left in agony as he reveals nasty health diagnosis

Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper, 27, has opened up about his agonising battle with shingles, sharing on Instagram he’s ‘never been in so much pain’ as he asked fans for help

Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper has admitted he’s “never been in more pain”. The farmer has been struck down with shingles and has asked fans for advice.

The Clarkson’s Farm star shot to fame helping Jeremy Clarkson run Diddly Squat Farm on the Prime Video hit. He’s now bagged his own show – Kaleb: Down Under – on the platform.

Kaleb, 27, took Instagram to share he’s in agony because of the viral infection, explaining he’d been enduring ‘pins and needles’ throughout his entire body. Filming from inside his tractor, he complained: “I’ve never been in so much pain in my life.

“I don’t know how I’m saying this but I’m 27 years old and I’ve got shingles. It is so painful. I thought only old people get that and no disrespect if you’ve got it and you’re maybe old. Honestly, it’s like pins and needles continually in your body.”

He said it ‘hurts like a…’ before stopping himself from cursing. Kaleb then appealed to his supporters: “How do I get rid of it? Can I take a tablet to get rid of it really quickly or something?”

Shingles is a viral condition from the same group of viruses responsible for chickenpox. There’s no definitive cure, but it can be treated with antiviral medicines.

In November last year, Kaleb updated fans from Australia following the news he will be filming a new farming series for Prime Video. Kaleb: Down Under. The show, has received the green light for a four-part series, and it will follow the farmer as he “embarks on his first solo trip to one of the world’s biggest farming markets”.

Taking to Instagram, Kaleb posted a rather cheeky clip on his story about a rude-sounding location in Queensland, Australia. he posted a clip from his car and said: “Just driven through a place called Bald Knob…”

Pausing to suppress a laugh, he continued to tell followers: “In Australia. Lovely place. It’s a mountain; no trees, nothing on the top.” Bald Knob is a rural locality in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, with a reported population of fewer than 300 people, according to the 2021 census.

Despite his new solo show, Kaleb won’t be leaving Clarkson’s Farm forever. Prime Video has confirmed Kaleb will still return for Clarkson’s Farm season 5 next year.

Prime Video’s synopsis for Kaleb: Down Under reads: “With aspirations to grow his business, Kaleb will experience farming at a scale he’s never encountered before -stretching thousands of acres across Australia’s vast landscape.

“Throughout his journey, Kaleb will meet his Australian peers and immerse himself in the local culture while exploring how farmers operate in this challenging environment.

“Viewers will see Kaleb taking on new challenges that are a world away from his familiar routines in Chipping Norton. And it’s no holiday-Kaleb won’t shy away from the gritty realities of farm work while he’s out there-blisters, burns, backaches and all.”
