Harriet Cowan Says ‘TV’s a Funny World’ as Fans Call for ‘Harriet’s Farm’ Series

A potential spin-off from Clarkson’s Farm has reportedly been discussed for Harriet Cowan following her departure from the Prime Video series, sparking fresh speculation about her future in television.

Ms Cowan, 24, from Derbyshire, joined the hit farming documentary during its most recent season, which was released on Prime Video across May and June this year. She stepped in temporarily to assist Jeremy Clarkson at Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington, Oxfordshire, while long-time fan favourite Kaleb Cooper was away on a nationwide tour. Although her appearance was intended to be short-term, Cowan quickly established herself as a capable and composed presence on screen, earning praise from viewers for her practical knowledge and calm approach to the pressures of farm life.

Despite leaving midway through the season once her support was no longer required, her popularity endured. Online discussions and fan forums began circulating the idea of a dedicated spin-off, informally dubbed “Harriet’s Farm,” imagining a series that would follow her own agricultural journey.

Addressing the speculation directly, Cowan took to Instagram on Tuesday, 24 February, while travelling to London. During a question-and-answer session with followers, she was asked whether she would consider fronting her own television programme after her well-received stint on Clarkson’s Farm.

“There are some exciting things in talks,” she replied, adding a note of caution. “But TV’s a funny world. Is this something you guys would wanna see?”

In response to another follower who asked whether “Harriet’s Farm” could become a reality, Cowan appeared modest about the prospect. “Ahhh, I never think anyone would wanna watch [it],” she wrote, suggesting she remains surprised by the level of public interest in her work.

Her comments echo previous remarks made during an appearance on BBC Breakfast, where she discussed the possibility of returning to Clarkson’s farm in the future. “We’ve always left it very open,” she said at the time. “I’m here if he needs me, but no plans at the minute. If he needs me, I’m here.”

While no official announcement has been made regarding a spin-off, Cowan’s growing fanbase and the continued success of Clarkson’s Farm indicate that conversations behind the scenes may still be ongoing. Whether those discussions materialise into a standalone series remains uncertain, but her brief tenure has clearly left a lasting impression on viewers.
