Jeremy Clarkson admits he’s ‘fed up’ with constant setback after making major announcement

Jeremy Clarkson has a lot on his plate at the moment – and the prospect of a fresh ‘snub’ has only added further salt to the wound

Jeremy Clarkson has confessed he and his production team are “fed up” following another snub at the National Television Awards.

The Clarkson’s Farm presenter, 64, disclosed that the Amazon Prime programme has secured yet another nomination, informing his 9.4 million Instagram followers: “We’ve been nominated for the National TV Awards.”

However, the father-of-three swiftly expressed his exasperation on X, after supporters pledged their votes: “Thank you. Our crews are getting fed up of losing this one.”

Admirers flocked to support him in the responses. One devoted fan commented: “Voted! Fingers crossed as it’s the only bit of talent on tv at the moment.”, reports the Express.

Another declared: “Voted. Been a fan of yours (@JeremyClarkson) for decades, literally. The entire family loves this show.”

A third contributor noted: “Voted Sir…. Fingers crossed you win this one,” whilst another wrote: “Voted and shared! Good luck x”.

Whilst the recognition for his popular Amazon Prime programme warrants celebration, the Grand Tour presenter has also faced challenging circumstances on his agricultural land.

The broadcaster cautioned of a grim year approaching, stating: “It looks like this year’s harvest will be catastrophic. That should be a worry for anyone who eats food. If a disaster on this scale had befallen any other industry, there would be a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

Though Jeremy did not detail the precise cause, followers speculated that Britain’s erratic weather conditions were once more responsible. This isn’t the first occasion his harvests have suffered damage.

During June’s blistering heatwave across Britain, he disclosed in his Times column: “It used to be reasonably predictable, but it just isn’t anymore. In March Diddly Squat had no rain at all. Not even a drop.

“In April we got 20mm, which in old money is bugger all. And so far in May we’ve had 4mm. You couldn’t keep a window box going with a dribble like that. It’s been drier than it was in 1976.”

“And while we do have about thirty springs on the farm, they’re all in the wrong places. So my onions and my beetroots are just sitting in the dust.”

He continued: “The wheat, meanwhile, is curling up, the barley won’t really get cracking at all and I dread to think what manner or terribleness is being foisted on my poor potatoes.”

This recent setback arrives mere days following Jeremy’s announcement of an animal’s death on his property, contributing to his mounting challenges with farm animals.

However, there has been cause for celebration amongst the Clarkson’s Farm crew. Kaleb Cooper, 26, celebrated the arrival of his third child on August 18 following his partner Taya’s labour.

The pair, who are already parents to Oscar, born in 2021, and Willa, born in 2023, presented their baby boy, Ashton, to followers via Instagram.
