Jeremy Clarkson apologises amid worrying Diddly Squat update
Jeremy Clarkson has apologised at his Cotswolds pub and issued a worrying update about Diddly Squat Farm.
The former Top Gear and Grand Tour star moved his focus to agriculture with the 2021 release of Clarkson’s Farm.
A hit show on Prime Video, the documentary focuses on the TV presenter’s farm, Diddly Squat, which he purchased back in 2008.
With four series to date and filming underway on a fifth, the programme has proved a hit with fans all over the world.
Yet, as the episodes over the years have shown, farming is far from easy with many hurdles plaguing Mr Clarkson.
The latest setback has been discussed by the 65-year-old at a VIP Hawkstone Summer Party attended by the Oxford Mail.
Held at Mr Clarkson’s Cotswolds pub, The Farmer’s Dog, in Asthall near Burford, the event took place on Monday (July 14).

Appearing on stage and apologising for his “dishevelled state”, the Top Gear star addressed the crowd.
“We got the combine fixed and then – and this is true for the first time in four months – it rained,” said Mr Clarkson.
“That soaked all the oats that we were supposed to be harvesting, so I rushed over here, and he [Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper] sent his apologies.
“He’s simply waiting for the moisture levels to drop so that we can get cracking.
“We know we’re in for a shocking harvest this year – if there are any farmers here, they would tell you the same thing.
“Last year was the second worst recorded ever, and we think this year’s going to be even worse because it just hasn’t rained.”
Clarkson’s Farm series five is currently filming and is expected to be released in 2026.
