Jeremy Clarkson Confirms Clarkson’s Farm Season 5 Has Finished Filming

Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed that filming has officially wrapped on the fifth series of Clarkson’s Farm, the hit Prime Video show that follows his trials and triumphs as an unlikely farmer in the Oxfordshire countryside.

The broadcaster, best known for fronting Top Gear and The Grand Tour, bought Curdle Hill Farm in the village of Chadlington back in 2008. For years, he leased the land to local farmers, but in 2019 he decided to take on the challenge himself. Renaming it Diddly Squat Farm—a tongue-in-cheek nod to the meagre profits he expected—Clarkson threw himself into the hard graft of farming. His efforts, and frequent mishaps, became the basis for what would soon turn into one of Prime Video’s biggest factual successes.

The first season of Clarkson’s Farm was released in 2021 and proved an instant hit with audiences and critics alike. Far from a vanity project, the show resonated because of its candid, often hilarious portrayal of farming life and the steep learning curve Clarkson faced as a newcomer to agriculture. Alongside him, viewers were introduced to a cast of unforgettable characters who quickly became stars in their own right.

Jeremy Clarkson and his girlfriend Lisa Hogan at his Cotswolds pub on opening day in August of 2024.

Among them is the outspoken contractor Kaleb Cooper, whose blunt honesty and sharp wit often steal the show; Gerald Cooper, the dedicated drystone waller with a famously thick accent; Lisa Hogan, Clarkson’s partner who brings warmth, practicality, and patience to the chaos; and land agent Charlie Ireland, the straight-talking advisor who ensures Clarkson’s more outlandish ideas stay within legal and financial bounds.

The chemistry between Clarkson and his team, combined with the real challenges of modern British farming, propelled the show to success. Three more seasons soon followed, charting everything from failed crops and livestock struggles to government red tape and the launch of Clarkson’s farm shop and restaurant. The most recent season, released earlier this year in two parts across May and June 2025, once again drew millions of viewers.

Fans have been eager for news on season five ever since Clarkson confirmed at the end of last year that it was in the works. Over the course of 2025, filming has taken place not just at Diddly Squat Farm but also at Clarkson’s latest venture, his Cotswolds pub The Farmer’s Dog in Asthall, which opened in 2024 and has since made headlines of its own. The pub, which has attracted both enthusiastic visitors and local controversy, is expected to play a role in the upcoming season.

On Monday, September 29, Clarkson finally gave fans the update they’d been waiting for. Posting to Instagram, he shared a photograph of himself standing alongside Kaleb, Gerald, Lisa, and Charlie, confirming that filming for season five is now complete. His caption was short and to the point:

“Season 5. It’s a wrap.”

While Clarkson didn’t reveal any specific details about what fans can expect from the new episodes, his announcement marks a major milestone. Post-production still lies ahead, with editors and producers now tasked with shaping the hours of raw footage into a polished series. Because of this, an exact release date has not yet been set. However, given the typical timeline for previous seasons, industry watchers expect the new episodes to arrive on Prime Video in early 2026.

In the meantime, speculation is already mounting about what season five might hold. With another year of unpredictable weather, rising costs, and village politics behind them, Clarkson and his team will no doubt face plenty of fresh setbacks, inventive solutions, and laugh-out-loud moments. And if history is any guide, the mix of humour, heart, and hard truths about the state of British farming will once again strike a chord with viewers across the world.

For now, though, fans can rest easy knowing that another chapter of life at Diddly Squat Farm is officially in the pipeline—and that Jeremy Clarkson, with his trademark determination and irreverent wit, is far from done with farming just yet.
