Jeremy Clarkson devastated as puppy dies just hours after announcing farm in lockdown

Clarkson’s Farm star Jeremy Clarkson shared the heartbreaking news live on-air today.

TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson has sadly revealed that one of his puppies has died after announcing his farm will be shut down for two months after an outbreak of Bovine TB. The Clarkson’s Farm star, 65, has admitted he is “not enjoying farming this week” as Diddly Squat has been thrown into chaos.

Jeremy spoke about the TB outbreak live on air this morning, explaining what the last 24 hours have been like to Times Radio presenter Peter Cardwell. He said: “It’s awful, it is awful.

“You have a test every six months on the cows and then you sort of become blasé, it’s a hypothetical threat. And then the vet looks up as he did yesterday lunchtime and said ‘I’m really sorry this one’s failed’.

“So that means we’re now locked down and it’s just dreadful, absolutely dreadful,” he continued.

Jeremy then shared the heartwrenching news that one of his puppies had died, telling Peter: “It’s only been not even 24 hours since I found out and it occupies my mind.

“Well it was occupying my mind but I got up this morning and found one of my puppies has died.

“And we’ve got a very sickly calf. Honestly, farming? I’m not enjoying it this week.”

He went on to confirm that Diddly Squat farm, which is located in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, will be “certainly” shut down for two months, as “that’s how long we have to wait before we do another test”.

He also reassured listeners that his farm shop would be “unaffected” by the lockdown, as “it’s only cows that get affected by it”.

Meanwhile, Jeremy’s partner Lisa Hogan shared a devastating clip on Instagram following the sad death of their puppy.

She wrote: “Sad news this morning. Mr Grey has gone to fur and feather land.”

The video showed her comforting the puppy’s mother, who was looking sad and protectively sitting with the rest of her brood.

“Poor Mr Grey, I’m sorry darling,” Lisa said, as she affectionately stroked the dog’s ears.

Clarkson’s Farm fans rushed to the comments section to send messages of support, with one writing: “Awww bless her [crying emoji] my boy had green collar when we got him this takes me back. Fox reds are the best.” (sic)

Another penned: “Aw I’m so sorry…poor Mum she looks so sad…take care all of you…it’s so harsh bringing puppies into the world…huge hugs x.” (sic)

“That’s sooooo sad. Bless her and all of you for your continued efforts to take care of them,” a third commented, as another lamented: “Oh no…this is so upsetting [crying emoji] Poor girlie xx.” (sic)
