Jeremy Clarkson has cheeky dig at MobLand and James Bond actor
Jeremy Clarkson has had a joke dig at MobLand and James Bond star Pierce Brosnan.
The former Top Gear presenter runs Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington, west Oxfordshire, which has been documented in Clarkson’s Farm.
Set over four seasons, the Amazon Prime docuseries has been an instant hit with fans ever since its debut in 2021.
Over that time, he’s faced plenty of farming setbacks and learned the ropes from farmhand Kaleb Cooper.
Together with his partner, the Irish actress Lisa Hogan, he runs the farm and his own pub The Farmer’s Dog in Asthall near Burford.
Pierce Brosnan
One fan on Twitter said he had watched the British crime drama series MobLand and said afterwards he was recommended to watch Clarkson’s Farm.
Mr Clarkson jokingly replied: “Same show really. Except Lisa’s Irish accent is better than Pierce Brosnan’s.”
Mr Brosnan, 72, is from Drogheda in County Louth, Ireland – about an hour away from Ms Hogan’s birthplace in Dublin.
He was the fifth actor to play secret agent James Bond in the film series, starring in four films from 1995 to 2002 including GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.
MobLand, which debuted earlier this year, stars Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, a fixer for the Harrigan crime family led by Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) and Maeve Harrigan (Helen Mirren).
