Jeremy Clarkson issues worrying ‘might not make it’ update as filming stopped

Clarkson’s Farm star Jeremy Clarkson has shared devastating news about a desperately ill donkey while filming of series six has been halted due to poor weather and a bovine TB outbreak

Jeremy Clarkson has suggested that Clarkson’s Farm might face further tragedy following some heartbreaking developments last year. The television presenter, who has starred in four series of the popular Amazon Prime programme, is set to make his comeback in May for a fifth instalment.

Clarkson is currently in the process of shooting the sixth series, though production had to be suspended due to adverse weather conditions, whilst the farm remains shuttered following a bovine TB outbreak that has forced cattle into isolation for testing.

Two successive failed TB examinations result in cattle being quarantined before being dispatched for slaughter.

Following Clarkson’s confirmation of multiple animal fatalities, he has now suggested his cherished resident donkey “might not make it” after becoming unwell, reports the Express.

Clarkson posted an image of his latest donkey, christened “New Ben”, for his followers to see.

According to Heart’s reporting, “Ben is thought to have replaced a previous donkey, also called Ben, who regularly appeared on social media alongside his companion Bill.

“It’s not clear whether Ben is the poorly donkey in question, but fans will only have two months to wait until the fresh episodes begin rolling to discover what happens to the sick animal.”

Clarkson revealed on the My Week in Cars podcast: “There is no script to this TV show, people always go it’s staged but the pigs dying, Gerard’s cancer – you can’t stage any of it.”

“We’ve got a donkey that’s desperately ill at the moment, we’ve all got our fingers crossed that it makes it, but I don’t know, I can’t write a script saying ‘then it got better’ because you don’t know what the donkey’s going to do.

“So you have to be ready to go – but you do spend an awful lot of time sitting around doom scrolling on your phone waiting for the weather to get better or for animals to do something.”

Clarkson Farm will return to Amazon Prime later this year.
