Jeremy Clarkson Opens Up About Surprise Issue After Mounjaro Use
Former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson has lost a considerable amount of weight after taking Mounjaro, a popular jab, but when he was going on holiday recently, it caused him an embarrassing issue
Jeremy Clarkson says he encountered an awkward problem he “never saw coming” after using weight loss jabs.
Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy, 65, has been open about taking Mounjaro, a popular weight loss jab he says has helped him shed around two stone. He’s credited the medication with his reduced appetite, saying: “I no longer want to eat my own body weight in chocolate and beef.”
He was prompted to change his lifestyle, including his eating habits, after undergoing heart surgery last year. He was admitted to hospital after experiencing chest pains.
Initially, he tried Ozempic, but switched to Mounjaro after the jabs made him “sick a lot”.
But despite the benefits Mounjaro can bring, it can also have its drawbacks. The Clarkson’s Farm presenter discovered this the hard way while jetting off for a much-needed holiday recently.

Writing on X, Jeremy fumed: “Mounjaro problem I never saw coming. At airports, you’re made to remove your belt and then told to stand in the body scanner with your arms in the air; so you can’t hold your trousers up.”
Fans of the star were left in stitches, flocking to the comments section to provide support as he reflected on his gaffe. One user pointed to the star’s newfound farming skills and told him to get into the spirit of living in the countryside.
“As a farmer, you should know string / rope is an essential staple of the Gentlemen’s attire,” the commenter joked. A second chimed in: “Dungarees? Might make the countryside appear friendlier to interlocking women too.”
However, some of Jeremy’s fans were also concerned for his health and urged him to be cautious in case it could cause further issues for him later down the line. “You shouldn’t be taking that if you’ve had a heart issue Jeremy; double check with a consultant,” wrote one worried account.
“Watch out with those jabs; after 5 months on them I realised I was losing muscle & strength and not the belly fat I wanted! Use with care,” wrote another.
Jeremy lives at the 1,000-acre Diddly Squad Farm in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. And his Mounjaro problem comes after Richard Osman aimed a barb at the ex-Grand Tour host over his latest book release.
Titled Diddly Squat: The Farmer’s Dog, the book has already hit the shelves, being officially released this week. Now, it has put Jeremy against acclaimed author Richard whose Thursday Murder Club series continues to storm the charts.
Going after Jeremy on his The Rest is Entertainment podcast, Richard said: “Clarkson is bringing out another Diddly Squat and is bringing it out quite close to Christmas, which is the coward’s way of bringing out a book. It gives you more chance of being a Christmas number one.
“If he had any guts at all, if he was any sort of a man,” Richard fumed, “he’s coming out late in an attempt to do it.” Jeremy has not officially responded to Richard’s callout, but Richard did reveal he does not believe he himself will clinch the title.
Instead, he believes Charlie Mackesy, whose last novel, The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse, was adapted into a BBC animation for Christmas in 2022, will claim the crown. “He has a new book out which has the same characters, it’s called Always Remember, and I think it will be our Christmas number one,” he remarked.
