Jeremy Clarkson Promises Clarkson’s Farm Will Return for Series 6 Amid Cancellation Concerns
Jeremy Clarkson has opened up about the future of Clarkson’s Farm, addressing growing concerns that the popular show might face cancellation. The 65-year-old TV personality, who ventured into farming in 2019, has captured the attention of millions worldwide with his Cotswolds-based farm, Diddly Squat, and the hit documentary series. Clarkson purchased 1,000 acres of land in Oxfordshire’s Chadlington about a decade ago, but it wasn’t until his adventurous farming debut that the series truly gained traction.
The show quickly became a sensation, with millions of fans tuning in to watch Clarkson and his quirky crew take on farming, which Clarkson himself had no prior experience with. Since then, Clarkson’s Farm has run for four hugely successful seasons, attracting a global following. The fifth season is set to air later this year, bringing eight new episodes to Amazon Prime Video, filmed on-location in the picturesque Cotswolds.
Despite the continued success of the show, recent reports have sparked concerns about its future. In a new article published by the Daily Star, Clarkson himself addressed the mounting cancellation fears, confirming that the show will continue—at least for another season.
Speaking to The Sun, Clarkson clarified that although the future of the show had been up in the air, he had no intention of leaving farming behind just yet. “We’ll definitely do series six,” Clarkson said. “Amazon want to do it, and I want to do it. I’ve got a really good idea for series six.” He also acknowledged that he had plans for at least one more season after the current one. “I said I’ll stop doing them when there are no more ideas. But I’ve got two quite good ones, so we’ll do series six, and then we’ll see…”
These comments came as The Sun reported that the series could even go on to have a seventh season, though that remains uncertain for now.

Clarkson went on to explain the decision to take a break following season five, citing the relentless pace of filming and the demands of farming. “We’ve never had a rest,” Clarkson noted. “We wrap a series and immediately start filming again because farming doesn’t stop. You harvest, and you immediately start drilling for the next year.” However, Clarkson admitted that this time, there would be a pause. Kaleb Cooper, the farmhand who has been a key part of the show, has left for Australia to film, and Clarkson himself has been busy with his other projects, such as hosting Millionaire Hot Seat.
For Clarkson, the constant filming was beginning to wear on him. “I really wanted to have a holiday because I haven’t had one in ages,” he shared. “So we just said, ok well, let’s just actually wrap it… and then I said, ‘If it snows, we’ll start filming again.’”
The decision to take a break may also be influenced by the changing dynamics on the farm. With Kaleb temporarily absent and Clarkson needing a well-deserved rest, the future of Clarkson’s Farm seems to be in a bit of flux. However, with Clarkson’s enthusiasm for farming and the support from Amazon, fans can rest assured that Clarkson’s Farm isn’t going anywhere just yet. Clarkson hinted that the crew may be back soon enough—depending on the weather conditions. And with his new ideas already in place for the next season, there’s every reason to believe that the future of Clarkson’s Farm is far from over.
