Jeremy Clarkson responds after questioned if he’s in Epstein files
Jeremy Clarkson has responded after being asked directly on social media whether his name appears in the widely discussed Jeffrey Epstein files.
The former Top Gear and The Grand Tour presenter, now best known for the hit Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm, remains a prominent public figure in the UK. At 65, Clarkson divides much of his time between running his countryside ventures in the Cotswolds and filming the popular farming series that follows his life at Diddly Squat Farm.
Clarkson took over the farm in 2008, long before the television series began documenting his attempts to manage the land with the help of local farmers and agricultural experts. The farm, located in the village of Chadlington in West Oxfordshire, has since become a central feature of Clarkson’s Farm, which first premiered in 2021 and quickly attracted a global audience.
In addition to the farm, Clarkson has expanded his rural business interests. In 2024, he opened The Farmer’s Dog pub in the nearby village of Asthall, close to Burford. The pub has already appeared in recent storylines connected to Clarkson’s Farm and has become a popular destination for visitors travelling through the Cotswolds.
Over the weekend, however, Clarkson found himself responding to an entirely different topic after a social media user brought up the recently discussed Epstein files.
The files relate to documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein, the American financier who had previously been convicted of procuring a minor for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute. Epstein died in 2019 while being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York as he awaited trial on further federal charges.
Interest in the documents resurfaced in late 2025 after US President Donald Trump signed legislation ordering the release of additional government records linked to Epstein. According to reports at the time, including coverage from the Daily Mirror, thousands of pages of documents — estimated at around 23,000 — were handed to the US House Oversight Committee for review.
The material reportedly included references to numerous well-known individuals, prompting intense speculation online about whose names might appear within the records.
Amid that renewed attention, one social media user on X, formerly known as Twitter, posed a direct question about Clarkson. The user wrote: “Can someone search the Epstein files for Jeremy Clarkson, please?”
Clarkson responded swiftly to the message with a short and characteristically blunt reply. Addressing the user directly, he wrote: “Why don’t you do it?”
The brief response quickly drew attention from followers, many of whom shared or reacted to the exchange across social media.
Clarkson has not made any further comments on the matter, and there has been no indication that his name appears in the released documents. His response appeared to treat the question lightly, reflecting the often sarcastic tone he is known for online.
Meanwhile, Clarkson continues preparing for the next chapter of Clarkson’s Farm. The series has become one of Prime Video’s most successful unscripted programmes, offering viewers a mix of humour, farming challenges, and insight into the pressures facing modern British agriculture.
The upcoming fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm is expected to premiere on Prime Video in May later this year. While official story details remain limited, the new season is anticipated to continue following Clarkson’s ongoing attempts to manage Diddly Squat Farm while dealing with unpredictable weather, farming regulations, and the day-to-day realities of rural life.
For fans of the series, the focus will likely remain firmly on the fields of the Cotswolds rather than the speculation circulating online.
