Jeremy Clarkson reveals Kaleb Cooper’s foul-mouthed remark after police run-in

US Vice President JD Vance split opinion in the Cotswolds where he holidayed recently, and it was his visit that ultimately led to Kaleb Cooper finding himself in a spot of bother with the police

Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has revealed how his Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper hurled an expletive at the police after a recent incident.

The recent arrival of US vice president JD Vance in the area was met by disapproval by some locals in the quiet town of Chipping Norton. While a portion of residents raised their political objections to his arrival, Kaleb’s anger began for very different reasons.

In a recent column in The Sunday Times, Jeremy Clarkson shared how the politician received a police escort as he made his way around the local area.

Explaining how it was their job to “shoo” people out of the way as they drove through the town, Jeremy recalled how one of those that was impacted was his Clarkson’s Farm side-kick Kaleb.

Looking back to how the incident unfolded, Jeremy said: “One of the people they ordered to pull over was Kaleb Cooper, my tractor driver, but it was starting to rain and he urgently needed to get his load of wheat into the shed, so he invited his tormentor to eff off. And carried on regardless.”

Kaleb was reportedly pulled over by the police

Meanwhile, in the days after the incident unfolded, Kaleb made his feelings known as he replied to one of Jeremy’s posts on Instagram, detailing how the situation unfolded.

He said: “My wheat got wet in the trailer last night as the convo(y) stopped me in the rain in chippy. I could have easily went on my way and got it in the shed without getting in the way.”

In happier news for the 27-year-old farmer, he welcomed his third child with fiancée Taya on Thursday (August 14). Having gone down on one knee nearly three years ago, Ashton has become the couple’s latest child together.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Kaleb wrote: “Baby number 3. everyone meet Ashton weighing 6.13lb born 14th august at 6:28pm at chipping norton maternity. Ps don’t worry I bought the amazing midwife’s a Chinese as well.”

While Kaleb raised his own objections to being impacted by the politicians entourage, the Clarkson’s Farm star wasn’t the only local to air there dismay at his visit.

In Charlbury, close to where he was staying, a protest labelled as the “Vance Not Welcome Party” was set up by the local “Everybody Hates Elon” and the “Stop Trump Coalition” groups.

Not all of those in the town were pleased to see the US politician

But, some were happy to see him, in fact, the newly announced Strictly contestant and former Apprentice star, Tom Skinner was invited to the vice-president’s holiday manor after they had previously chatted on social media.

After meeting in Vance’s holiday home earlier this week, Tom took to X to share his gratitude: “Unreal night with JD and his friends and family.”

He added: “He was a proper gent. Lots of laughs and some fantastic food. A brilliant night, one to tell the grand kids about.”
