Jeremy Clarkson sends message to gunships over Diddly Squat
Jeremy Clarkson has issued a cheeky message to gunship pilots flying over Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire.
The TV star is known for his motoring knowledge, appearing on BBC’s Top Gear and Prime Video’s The Grand Tour for over two decades.
His frequent collaborations with co-stars James May and Richard Hammond have made the trio household names across the world.
Mr Clarkson’s focus has switched in recent years to farming, though, following his 2008 purchase of Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington.
The Cotswolds farm has been the focus of all four series of Clarkson’s Farm on Prime Video since the show’s debut in 2021.
Often running into problems on the programme, Mr Clarkson is no stranger to issues while farming.
Among these are drones and aircraft flying over his farm which often cause filming to halt.
The latest of these incidents has come today (Wednesday, July 30) as “Apache gunships” were allegedly travelling overhead in west Oxfordshire.
This afternoon, the 65-year-old said on X: “If you’re flying the Apache gunships over Diddly Squat today, can you hover over the wheat for a bit?
“It still needs drying.”
Mr Clarkson is filming series five of Clarkson’s Farm after the new season was confirmed at the end of last year.
It is not yet officially known when the new episodes will be released, but it is widely expected to be at some point in 2026.
