Jeremy Clarkson slapped with driving ban ‘without knowing’
Clarkson thought he had been “red carded” by Aston Martin
Jeremy Clarkson recently wrapped up the fourth season of his beloved Amazon Prime series, Clarkson’s Farm, and while he’s away from Diddly Squat, he stil finds the time to write car reviews.
Specifically, he often shares his thoughts on the latest vehicle releases in his column in The Sunday Times, recently writing about the Aston Martin DBX.
However, much to his own surprise, he revealed he though the manufacturer “red carded” him over his Aston Martin comments.
He wrote: “After I gave the DBX a firm but fair kicking on these pages, I was red-carded by Aston Martin and banned from driving any of its demonstrators.
“But it didn’t actually show me the red card or even write to say it had been issued. So I never knew.
“And now it turns out it wasn’t a red card after all. I was merely sin-binned and now — without knowing I ever left it — I’m back on the pitch.”
Despite the bumpy road he’d driven down with Aston Martin, he did praise their latest model, the DB12.
He said: “Is there such a thing as “creamy gravel”? Because that’s as close as I can get. I think if it were a singer, it’d be Joe Cocker.”
It comes after Clarkson banned a man from his pub, The Farmer’s Dog, following complaints about the prices.
The former Top Gear host informed Kal Knott that he was no longer welcome after he grumbled about the cost of a meal.
Kal posted on X: “Jeremy Clarkson wanted an affordable pub for customers. £24 for a pie and veg is a bit much.”
In response, Clarkson retorted: “Have you seen beef prices right now? If you could make it for less, I’ll give you a job.”
He later added: “You are now banned from the pub.”
The 65 year old has already blacklisted several high-profile figures from his establishment, including UK Prime Minister and leader of the Labour Party, Sir Keir Starmer.
