Jeremy Clarkson warning to visitors as Diddly Squat farm shut off

Any visitors planning a trip to Jeremy Clarkson’s Cotswolds farm this week have been issued a timely warning as the property prepares to host a major agricultural event.

Clarkson, the former Top Gear presenter, purchased the 1,000-acre Chadlington farm in 2008 and has been managing it personally since 2019. The farm, which has become a focal point for fans through the hugely popular Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm, also houses a farm shop that regularly draws thousands of visitors from across the UK.

This week, Diddly Squat Farm will be hosting the annual Cereals event on June 10 and 11, a large-scale farming trade show that brings together industry professionals, equipment suppliers, and agricultural innovators. Organisers have warned that the event will result in multiple road closures and significant increases in traffic in the surrounding areas. Visitors attempting to reach the farm during these dates should anticipate delays and plan their journeys accordingly.

The farm shop, a popular destination for fans of Clarkson’s TV series and rural life enthusiasts, will remain open throughout the event. However, the organisers encourage potential visitors to exercise patience, noting that accessing the shop may take longer than usual due to the influx of trade visitors attending Cereals. To avoid the busiest areas, fans are advised that the alternative farm shop at The Farmer’s Dog pub will operate as normal, offering a less congested experience for those wishing to browse and purchase farm produce.

A statement from the farm emphasised the importance of public understanding and cooperation: “Diddly is hosting Cereals this Wednesday and Thursday. Cereals is a farming trade event and is not open to the public. There will also be road closures and extra traffic around the farm during this time. The farm shop will still be open as usual, but if you’re planning a visit, it might take a little longer than normal to get to us. You might want to visit our shop at The Farmer’s Dog instead, which will be open as usual with less traffic around the area. Thanks for your understanding and sorry for any inconvenience.”

Fans eager to experience Clarkson’s farm life and shop for local produce are encouraged to plan ahead and remain flexible during the busy two-day event. While the Cereals trade show is closed to the public, the farm and its associated businesses continue to provide a glimpse into the unique blend of rural entrepreneurship and TV fame that Clarkson has cultivated over the past decade.
